Lol see i told you don't need to use styrene their is always a substitute out there, but why didn't you use the Flora tub? :D

I'll continue to use the v2 boards, it saves me cutting a shape and doing all the holes :p

Here is what i did......took a mag rd image and trace it off the ipad, adjusted it to fit into the chinese shape sole, drew it into illustrator, cut a vinyl template with a 1mm outline, applied the decal to the el sheet and then i cut round the whole thing with a knife whilst trimming off the excess i didnt want on the bottom edge, you will see the template and the decal underneath, probably not super duper accurate but good enough for me
The el connection is actually bent into the heel so that it cant be seen, its solidly in place by making a slit through the shoe and running the wire up the sole

Yes, you do not need to run them through an inverter. The inverter is ONLY to run the EL.

whoooo thanks i thought i messed something up..... i no you probably already answered this jedi but how long do yours usually last on a fresh 9v battery? p.s those paint specs on yours rules will be doing that mod next....thanks as always. oh and plenty of pics to come I've just been really busy..

how long do yours usually last on a fresh 9v battery?.

non rechargebale, I get about 3-4 hours. Rechargeable, about 1 1/2-2 hours. I am ordering the same batteries that Taff has to see if they last as long for as they do for him.

I was surprised at how expensive the batteries with the charger were. It was $28. But I guess that's the price you pay for convenience.

That's actually a good price for both batteries and a charger. Most rechargeable 9vs will run $7-$9 each and the charger can be $10-$15.

Ye i thought so too, there the best 9V batteries out there (that i could find) so i think its worth paying whatever for :)

Brad how will you recharge them, using a dc setup like i have posted or will you take the batteries out of the sole?

Re scan.........I dont have a scanner, just an ipad im afraid
If you have the part template as a digital file (you mentioned illustrator?), then you should be able to produce a JPEG and post it as an attachment.

If he can take a photo of his drawing that is flat and post that, I can import that into SU and create a template here. So there are a few options to get this done.

That would be awesome Cavx, it's good we're all pulling together on this :thumbsup

On another note, I am thinking about adding a led to the charger port, so when you charge your shoes there will be a "green" led showing you they are charging, what's everyone's thoughts on this?

I will never be able to do it the same as the RD mags, so this would be the next best thing I think.

The file is at work and im working away at the moment, so until next monday i cant access that file until im back in the office

On the RDs when they are low on battery only the red LEDs show. And when you hook them up and they're fully charged, only the green show. I'm not sure how they do this, but it would be cool to figure out.

What 9v batteries have you guys ordered and what Mah are they? I got these 175mah and they didnt last very long in my Mark Poons
