Redid the PCB just now whilst waiting for the test PCB to etch off overnight.

Managed to get the 3D models kinda correct on the laptop. And also managed to shave some space off the original design.

Moment of truth tomorrow to see how the test PCB turns out and to knock the circuit up. Then a nice wait whilst I wait for my EL panel to arrive from Chinaland. Hurry up dammit.

Brad they look spot on bud! I bet you have not regretted buying these one bit! alot of people moan about them but its not until you have these in your actual hands do you fully see how good they are(for $250) well with all the mods anyway.

That inverter is tiny!!

This "inverter" will be able to run upto 5v you said? Also will you be able to make these for rpf members at a good price if all goes well?

I need two if all this pulls through :love

Brad they look spot on bud! I bet you have not regretted buying these one bit! alot of people moan about them but its not until you have these in your actual hands do you fully see how good they are(for $250) well with all the mods anyway.

Exactly. They are really well built and I got mine for $215 each with free shipping, which basically works out to about $195 plus shipping. Not bad at all.

Plus, with the mods done, they are about 90-95% accurate. I can't wait to wear these out. :thumbsup

Ye i am so happy to have a mag that is this accurate, its like having a weight lifted off my shoulders.

Still amazed we are the only two that have modded these, it's like they know something we don't :confused
Your so lucky you can wear them out! Currently it's snowing here 24 hours a day, got to wait for summer.. Only 5 months to go lol!

I'm just burnt out on Mags, living through your builds vicariously. Otherwise, I'd be right there with you guys modding a pair...AKA destroying a pair.

I'm giving it another 2-3 months tops to see if anything positive comes out of the next batch. Then I'll definitely be ordering 1-2 pairs.

Also, it'd be more motivating if the there was a definitive shopping list to make it all run off one battery, with a new inverter, switch, etc...

Ye i am so happy to have a mag that is this accurate, its like having a weight lifted off my shoulders.

I am looking forward to this massive relief as well.

Leather = Joann Fabric. Its called Marine Vinyl. It's nice to the touch and very strong.

Yes if the circuit works then yeah il knock a few up for people to use if they want.

Thanks Nick, hopefully the next batch are more accurate so all these mods don't need to get done but i think even if they don't, i doubt they will stop making these, those yeezy shoes were revised like 3 or 4 times i think till they got AAA replicas. Fingers crossed these will be the same scenario.

Well the circuit is now built..

Possibility I might need to use a slightly larger inductor on the circuit (ie physically larger). It depends what Voltage range I want to make it work on. So just have to wait and see what happens.

Congrats to all involved. Brad, I don't think you're gonna get rep Mags any closer to the real deals now. Take it from me, they are convincing! I took a look this morning and compared them to the Nikes and they are outstanding! :thumbsup

That Picture you posted on the previous page of the switch Taff...

Are you able to get a clearer one (not that im dissing your photo skills honest!!) I need to see if all 4 pins on that switch are used.

Thats known as a tactile switch and should have 4 pins on it.
