9 5/8 from tippy top of the white part to the bottom of the sole.

I still want to see a photo of the RD MAG with the V2 MAG heel to heel in the same size. Then we will be able to clearly see the differences.

In theory you could use the circuit I have knocked up and run everything off the 1 internal battery so no need for any extra batteries. Just need to figure out where to tap the power from the internals.

That being said technically 2 inverters would be needed, one for the NIKE EL panel and one for the EL panel (if you use one) in the soles. Although im yet to try that of course.

Depends on current draw of my circuit but initial test earlier on with a test load hooked upto the circuit it pulled less then 10ma which is tiny. It depends on the panel size though.

How big do you think the EL panels in the soles are??

Dammit im gonna have to get my credit card out and order some V2's aren't I!

What are the measurements of EL panel for the NIKE logo?

when you get your el sheets, could you do a test to see if your inverter can light up the EL for the strap + the EL for the soles + the LEDS?

even if we require 2 of your inverters as part of the wiring, they look so tiny, it wouldn't be a problem.

Unless you can make the inverter you've created slightly bigger so that its able to power both EL pieces and the ankle LEDS.

i assume the same wiring setup of Taff and Jedifyfe would apply for this setup?

Yep thats what I plan on doing. Edited to ad:- it can't and wont power the LEDs as they run on DC volts not AC.

The circuit can power an EL panel that is 3in square apparently. Obviously I can't work that out from the wierd angles the shapes of the panels so the only thing I can do is try them.

I think Taff is sending me some panels to test so il see in the next few days what happens.

Yeah we are "expected" to get around 4-6 inches of snow tonight apparently.

I bought all my bits home incase they do turn up tomorrow but I have another project im also wanting to work on BTTF related

Hey brad, what dimensions do you prefer on that marine vinyl to do the strap?

I cut it in a 1" by about 36" strip. Then I wrap it through the ankel buckle and measure where the NIKE logo will be, cut the logo area out and install the sire tape and EL sheet.

Hey Taff I bought that el panel you recommended, it says it comes with the inverter, but how are you running it off of your cell phone battery? How does it get the right voltage?
