With the help of my girlfriend that gave me a HUGE help.

She gave me the miracle product to remove glue without leaving marks on the shoe fabric and damage the swooshes !!!

15 minutes after both swooshes were gone ! :D

I am making the swooshes taking a bath of water and soap to remove the product that was on it all the night, tommorow i will let them dry and put them between two heavy books to get them flat again, i will probably have to cut a bit the swooshes.

I will have to redo the steam toe box tho because i did put a lot of heat on the shoes during the hours i worked on it.

Next steps will be :

- Painting the swooshes in white,
- Painting the soles with the "Walk on Black" from Angelus that is a silicone paint who won't crack
- Repaint the NIKE logos on the heelcups with "Flat White" paint from Angelus
- Repaint the MAG logo with "Tropic Sun Yellow" color from Angelus

believe me if you guys need glue I recommend Barge infinity cement or Barge super stik I use those glues for sole swapping older release jordans and the hold on them is unbelievable. Also for barge if you apply the glue then heat the glue up and press down sometimes clamps aren't needed

Klen can you confirm if the soles on this black pair have a blue tint to them please? They look more blue than the grey/white pair in the video which clearly have yellow soles.

No blue tint to me cavx.

2 possibilities, due to the fact that this pair has just been built up, so the sole didn't have the time to get yellow, and the second is that the used a clearer sole because it is a another version of the v2 so they thought that clear sole was nicer, has SA MAGs's soles are yellowish.

I just did apply a layer of Walk on Black from Angelus and this paint is the bomb ! It is really really perfect for what i needed it is a bit more glossy that the stock paint but it makes the shoes look like more "new" i will show you the pictures when both shoes will have had 2 coats of it. ;)

I will suggest that all the soles of the V2 were made at the same time (back in 2012) and why even new pairs now have yellow soles. The black pair looks good because the soles are not yellow. I'd like to see other pairs for comparison.

The painting of the soles went really good, the paint is a bit glossy but the rendering is just really awesome, i made cracking test and due to the fact that the peint is silicone, the paint don't go off and doesn't crack !

Can't wait to do the splatter now !

Here's the right shoe to give you a preview of how it looks.

I was thinking of not making splatter under the heelcup on the sole due that they will be wearing pair, the white splatter would get dirty too quickly when I would be driving, or you think I should still do the splatter on it to make it more accurate ?

This one @airair, only 2 coats were needed and it is really a dream to paint with.
Just let me know if you are still up for the el soles and led panels in white, to at least know if i can count on it. ;)

I had a hard time to paint tropical sun yellow the MAG logo, (15 slim coats), the paint isn't easy to work with at all and it tends to make bubbles, and lil hard paint parts in the bottle when it dries.

The weather isn't fine so i can't do the splattering for now, because i want to try it first on a cardboard to get the right technic.

Tommorow, i will apply a second big coat on the MAG logos, repaint the nike logo on the heelcups, redo a black coat on the heelcups to remove all the mistakes and gold paint that i can still see on it.

I would disagree on this point. I've had a few pairs recently that the soles looked brand new on. I've also had ones that were very yellow. I think they have been made in pretty large production runs. I know recently many vendors were completely out and had to wait for the factory to restock. I also heard that the black version is not in production any more.

Glad that i catched them before they're not on the market anymore :)

Since Angelus don't appear to do any other colours of their "walk on" paint than black and red, do you think it would work to mix walk on black with regular white for a stronger grey coating?

If the "walk on" paints have some sort of rubberized base, it might work. Would really help if they made white. As for mixing best to mix black into white rather than attempt to lighten the black.

As Klen mentioned the walk on contains silicon, which by the look of it is the only difference between it and the regular leather paint. I'll be getting some to give it a try.

If you mix colour into regular caulking silicone by adding oil based paints. Maybe that is the answer to this mystery. I don't have cracking from walking on my pair which has been covered in a film of grey tinted flexible polyurethane for what must be over a year now. Silicone is rubber and when mixed into paint, should provide a flexible coating. I do not know the shore of caulking silicone, but for the sides, it should be fine, maybe not the base of the sole.

I have not tried this yet, but am curious to see how the white silicone would go to attach the clear soles. It is an adhesive after all. Being white, will give the finish I am after as well.

It will be hard to get the same result as the walk on black as hardening stuff in the paint and the ingredients aren't showed up on the bottle.

What i can do for you guys is doing a very small try to mix flat white and walk on black to see how the paint react on a flexible item.
