NIKE MAG Knockoffs

Sure, but even if it's the same shoe, it'll be interesting to compare slight differences between factories.

If they do make any changes (and I'm not holding my breath given the short time) all I'm hoping for is a light-up strap to be added.

Don't hold your breath.

OMG! Look how they attached Marty's (MJF) MAGs to the Hover Board in 1989!

Yep, tech screws right through the sole :cry

All done. How does it look? I still have to cut the heel to be thinner and then I'm fully finished. I'm going to leave the other side as is. It doesn't bother me enough to mod it.

Looking good, but please make your own build thread so this already clogged up thead doesn't get out of control :thumbsup

Holy smokes! that is some picture, makes me want to cry though

Makes you wonder what the FX shoes that laced up looked like after being butchered?

This thread is well and truly clogged. I thought MitasTouch already had a build thread :confused

Here is an update from ShoesBagOnSale.

cavx: How can the quality get better and the price come down?

ShoesBagOnSale: we are waiting for the reply from the factory .

we will share it as soon as it comes out

cavx: When these new shoes do come out, will you be asking for more money from those that already paid?

ShoesBagOnSale: Hi guys.the second batch of nike air mag light will come out 2 weeks later.and the price is based on the site shown when you guys place the ordre.our guys wont be asked for more money.

cavx: Really? So those that paid $129 will get their shoes?

ShoesBagOnSale: yes.it is based on the price shown

I call BS! LoL Look at their site at $199.99 right now. No way that people are going to get the 2nd batch for $129.99. If you do then maybe I'll try and re-place an order until then I won't be ordering.

I hope what they are saying is that they will honor the price of the pre-order for those that paid in full back then. If you don't have a pending order, then you will pay the listed price. Given the listed prices are as high as $460, i am thinking that new price will be the $199.00. i don't see this shoe selling for less than $100 now. Too much hype has forced the price up.

This has to be better then "give us more money or we don't send the shoes" or the BS I am getting right now from LJ10.

Yes and that show was the same as this one :

The area where the screw was used is the same area where this has damage.

Might I suggest running masking tape on the inside lip of the toe and building it up from there. It should not use much of this rubber at all. You only need to build it up maybe 1/8" (3mm) at the centre. You could even cut the tape to shape first and if that has to remain later, it does not matter.

I have making tape in foamies that were super glued where the tape was originally used to hold the join. Of course the tape became stuck from the glue and as it turns out, helps keep the joins flexible. They have not broken since I did them and my feet have in and out of them many times.

It's not a big enough issue for me to change.

I've had this photo for quite some time and never would have guessed that was the cause. I would have (and did) assume that was from flexing on the ball of the foot. Looking now, it is quite obvious.

Just a suggestion and they are you shoes after all. I just think it would be easier to do now than later after the upper has been re-attached.

I just ordered a different shoe from shoesbagonsale and I`m curious how this will turn out as a test for the really important delivery

They showed that on the "Secrets of the Back to the future Trilogy". It's funny because they have to carry Michael J Fox around on their shoulders when he's 'screwed in'

not to sound like a noob but why didnt he just stand on the board and they take there "shot/s" obviously there is a reason i just want to know why :p

that pic of them on the hoverboard looks awesomez.

these v2's are prolly the best its gonna get. ill get a pair and mod em some when the price comes back down if I can hold out that long heh.

ah and he kept falling off the board so they screwed him to it, literally LOL! :facepalm

It's not so much that he fell off the board as that he board doesn't actually hover.

Since he was held up on wires, there was nothing between the hoverboard and the ground. Had they not attached the board directly to the shoes, it just would have fallen to the ground.

It's worth noting that MJF was a fairly good skateboarder in those days, so if he just had to stand on something, he could have. But there was literally nothing to stand on. It would be like asking you to stick to your ceiling without the aid of any tools. Gravity wins every time.

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Hold on there, are you saying the board didn't really hover? Pfff, watch the movie again, of course it hovered or why would it be called a hoverboard? The only thing is it doesn't work on water. Gosh! The nerve of some people. :angry
