About an hour ago I used a hair dryer to take off the yellow outer soles. The next step would be to take the upper off from the mid sole.
My PSP camera doesn't capture detail very well, but I drew on the sole where I'm going to cut. After this post I'm starting an entire thread on my shoes.

So I have seen the S02 videos etc. on Youtube and around the net. Are these available to buy? They are obviously quite expensive but look much better than the Chinese replicas. Also, like I mentioned above, I have been in contact with various companies re: the replicas. Who, in all of your opinions, should I purchase them off if any? I also read on here and was told by them personally that Shoesbagonsale will have a new batch in two weeks.

I'm quite tempted to buy the chinese version (the new version will be better, hopefully..)
But it's quite impressive what so2 can make out of the MP shoes...

Edit: I've seen your topic, but thebag looks to be way too small x), are you planning to make a bigger one?
And why I am thinking of making custom bucks for heat forming. I have spare 250mm (10") pipe here. The actual prop is closer to 11.5". Even the 10" dia is large enough for the MP MAGs you have.
As for cost, the decals are the expensive part.
I hope to have the first units complete by the end of January.

I can't guarantee how this will all pan out, so why I am wanting to make my own first and if it works and is duplicate-able, then offer it. I don't want to be that guy that makes promises, takes money and does not deliver.

Personally, modding them yourself is the best way in my opinion. It gives a big sense of accomplishment when you make something your self.
I know I know, that's why I was asking these questions in the end, I quite want to finish my pair myself. But I am quite scared to mess something up, I would like to slim the toe, but this is a bit scary in my opinion, would be really annoyed if i ripp something off x)!
I want to change the elastics too, cut the other ones and replace them with longer ones, i'm not sure how it will look like, but i might give it a try.
In my shoes, the battery case is installed into the sole, so i have to press the button under it, but it's not really a problem...
And I want to give this "straight" look, but i have no idea how, MP shoes would be great if the top was stretched a bit, when i strech it with my hand, it looks quite good xD
I don't know, do you have any ideas how to do all of these things?

Are you wanting to display, wear or both?
The best way to fix the collar for a display is to simply add some card board tube that you split down one side. If wearing, then I would have to say that that velcro thing we've seen on the V2s is the way to go as that will be the only thing that will hold the strap on place, because whilst you walk, it tends to slip down and the collar loses that cool shape.
Unless you feel comfortable with a full tear down and build up, I would not worry about the laces. I mean those holes annoyed the hell out of me with my pair right up to the day I sold them. Not an easy fix.
