I ordered two pairs through shoesbagonsale at the original price and have not had any emails or notifications whatsoever. Yes I checked my SPAM folder.
I received the month delay email as well from shoesbag. Instead of complaining at them, I chose to ask if I was willing to wait the extra month, could I go ahead and purchase at second pair at the $129 price that I had paid for the first. They responded by telling me that they were waiting for a second factory to go into production and that in a month the price will be less and the quality will be better. At that time I'll be able to purchase a second pair for the lower price. I'm just going to leave the one pair on order and see what happens.
I'm sorry to see that things aren't looking good here :angry Not sure if you guys know this but even if you're able to file a paypal dispute within 45 days, you still can't get your money back if the seller emptys his paypal account or transferred the funds to another account, unfortunately, there isn't any buyer protection for this kind of transaction :cry
Got my e-mail overnight. Immediately asked for a refund. I'll just reorder later. It's more than irritating because they actually called me on the phone three days ago to confirm shipping and payment. It's impossible that they didn't know about this then.
You want my honest thought? Their initial shipment got seized by customs and they are probably doing damage control. It would easily take another month to get replacements shipped over through a looser shipping method (ie, shipping container).

Looks like I missed a couple pages over night, and I don't really want to read through everything. I asked shoesbagonsale for a refund, they will be issuing it on monday. The funny part is they said "If you want the shoes urgent, you can make an new order about $199.9. We can send them directly. If you don;'t want the price $199.9, you can wait the end of this month, we can send them to you with price $149.9. Thank you!"
someone called it... this month delay is a ploy to get people to up the prices. And the thing is, I paid $99.00, and the cheapest option she mentions here is $149.99.
I'll just plan on getting my pair some time in february or later, no big deal I guess.

Yeah "F-that" I'm sorry i'm not up for them upping the prices. I'm over it. I'll get the shoes when I'm good and ready and all the HYPE dies down. That's the only way they're going to get money from me at this point.

Angry feelings aside, it could very well be true about the 1st batch not turning out quite right, and that the factory is having to work out kinks, or apparently have another factory entirely make the 2nd batch. There are always learning curves for manufacturers with new products, and as simple as these lights seem to us, don't kid yourselves it's not that easy, especially if they have never done shoes with lights before. Even "serious" products from real companies have bugs to be worked out after the first run.
How many videos have we seen now where one of the LEDs doesn't look right? I sure wouldn't want to get a pair of shoes like that. You'd probably have to do some serious surgery to get to the sole LEDs.
I know it's easier to say without any of my money out there, but I do believe they are making more shoes and hopefully figuring out the light quality control issues. The way these sites have handled things and the language barrier just sucks, and I hope all of you who want such get your refunds. As others have said, it's probably best to wait for all the dust to settle with the whole situation. I'm going to wait until some of these have shipped, and they are readily available. If that takes a few months, so be it.

You can go straight to your CC to dispute the transaction. That's what I did. They take the money back from Paypal and then it's up to Paypal to get it back from the merchant. Payal's 45-day rule doesn't apply when it's their money. That said, Melis said she was refunding my PayPal account. We'll see how quickly that happens.

from pickgoodshoes and shoesbagonsale I filed 2 different dispute claims with my CC company and they were more then happy to help me out. I'll be getting my money back within 15 days. it's a Chase Visa incase anybody else used one. Hope that helps a little.
