NIKE MAG Knockoffs

I don't suppose there are any Macross/Robotech fans here?

I would love to see the requisite Skull Leader livery on the Mag.
 
Any news on the Mags? A lot of these stores have working weeks from Monday to Saturday so there could potentially be some announcements today.

Also today is the 10th, so it would be nice to get a positive update on this. Not holding breath :)
 
Neither am I. But I live in hope. Although weren't we told that the 10th was the factories' deadline? I guess we won't get any news from the stores til at least monday?

I never knew I was this obsessive a person until these bloody shoes were announced:$
 
Nike probably wouldn't give up their one and only real MAG. Apparently out of the 6 pairs made for the film, they got one shoe back.

Which is a claim I don't get as we've seen pics of two original mags next to each other. I think Tinker made a mistake there.

yea i understand that .. i said the video was missing them .. the video was put out in early 2010 .. didnt the real shoes comeout in 2011 ? so if they made the video later or the shoes sooner they probly would have made it into the video which would have been awosme
 
I've seen a photo of a single NIKE MAG in a glass case and I've seen several of a worn pair, so maybe the single shoe the other shoe NIKE didn't get back. In the videos with Tinker, he opens what looks like a storm/pelican case to reveal a single shoe with a nice foam holder for that one shoe, not a pair.

Yeah the NIKE MAG 2011 came out last year. It is also possible they reverse engineered one of their own shoes (is was supposed to be 6 year project) to make the 2011 MAG, hence why they now only have one original shoe.

He did, but they were no bigger than an ordinary shoe box with no foam. Plus I think he made them out of some kind of poster board or material that those signs are made out of that people put in their lawns.

Is there any image file of the magnetic anti gravity sticker? I found one, but it's way too small. And did any of the RD mags come in half sizes?
