NIKE MAG Knockoffs

You won't be able to change the rear strap holders without serious work as the charging port is in there by the looks of it.

I would imagine if the sole lights are EL, you can just tap into that feed and run a few wires up to the Nike logo.

I think there LEDs in the soles not EL unfortunately :(

I wonder though if the power supply in the buckle can take the inverter and EL?

Unfortunately I think you're right matey. Not sure on the rear buckle, but as I said in my previous post, I'm just gonna shout 'Braaaaaad' as loud as I can :)

We'll have to see what type of battery is used to know what electronics to use. And when I mod mine I'm not going to go all out and change everything to be 100% accurate, but I will slim the toe, change the LEDs, put EL lights in the straps and soles, put in thinner laces, more splatter on the soles, and change the lettering on the heel cups to be center. You probably have to use a razor blade to cut them level and make your own lettering to put on. And also make better white tops. These are too puffy and are the wrong material.

So come on then, stick up a list of sites with best prices and sticky it. Is hiphopiop legit? I've seen some horrible reviews but Linda sticks up YouTube videos and has a Facebook page with tons of followers etc. perhaps just morons/unlucky customers..?

If all my money wasn't going to my business right now, I'd buy a second pair just to do a video tear down of for us nerds. I just can't wait to see how these are put together so we know how far we can take our mods.

I'd really love to swap the laces out for thinner elastic, but I doubt that's feasible.

For some reason you can't choose your shoe size on that site. It weirdly says to put it in the quantity box, but that's impossible. But other shoes have multiple size boxes next to the quantity box.

I'm concerned about what looks like the charging ports facing upwards. Makes walking around a little more hazardous as moisture etc could more easily get in.

Lucky that I live in a place where it only rains 3 days a year... :lol

Thank you for the pictures, airair! I'm very excited for these and think they are clsoe. Not perfect, but close! They'll look good with a Matty Hover Board! :lol

I can't make it out in the pics clearly but it looks like the sole IS textured. I'm also pretty happy with that spatter. Wish the heel had puffed out a littlr more.

they could've done that just to not infringe on the copyright...but that's prob an easy fix anyway.

Damn them for not doing the simple EL logo though. I suspect they did that on purpose though for copyright as those 12 LEDs are FAR harder than a little EL Nike logo.

I very much doubt any changes at all were made to avoid copyright infringement when the shoes themselves have the Nike logo on them, along with the swoosh.

China doesn't worry about copyright when creating rip off products anyway.

Youre correct sir! Based on that shot I would say it does look the proper height. I guess the cuff parts are throwing me off since they are more rounded. Perhaps I have over inflated how they should look in my head.

TOTALLY Dissapointed. :(
I cant understand how can made a LOT of innacurate/stupid fails, having a lot of references in web(photos, ect) and of course all the experience showed in our forums¡¡¡¡¡...dont be fooled... its a evolution of markpoon shoes, but honestly is not a replica of mags in my opinion...and not a replica of film shoes of course.
I have dissected in my mind the real shoes all the time, continously,I know the shoe every piece, every subtle detail and probably my opinion is for "an obsessed guy" who wants a EXACT replica.

Congrats for the people who looks 90% accurate, and the happiness with the actual shoe.for some people is great, and I would understand.

I think that new version would be about 65%-70% accurate in my opinion. My list of fails is tooo long.

Im SO angry because I build in my mind a lot of hopes with that.....:cry

:(

I think that's their way of saying "preorders gone, go elsewhere" ;-)

Where the heck is Cavx during all this?:rolleyes
Amazed that in less than 12 hours, this thread grew by 4 pages! Thanks Airair for the pics.

My take:

Pros:

I think overall for a knockoff, the shoes look great. I have no problems with them for the price I paid and look forward to getting mine.

Great to see clear soles and lights - even if they are just LEDs and not EL.

Great texture on the sole and heel cup

Ankle buckles look good too. I like the detail at the sides.

Cloth looks great.

Cons:

I am still thinking the upper is the same height as the V1. It could be thicker giving the illusion it is not as high.

Shame about the stitching around the finger pull holes.

I am betting there is a seam under the strap the same as the V1 and why there is no seam over the Buckle at the back.

Is the heel cup one piece with the sole?

Back of the sole looks too high again.

Shame they did the toe with that traditional boot look again.

Laces are too think and I hope they used better elastic this time. The stuff on the V1a stretched and lost its elasticity quite quickly.

Hope they didn't use that same material on the cuff as the V1.

Well, lets hope we see images of these on people's feet soon :)
