Given this is the NIKE MAG KNOCKOFF thread where all things NIKE, MAG and KNOCKOFF seem to be posted, I want to share my latest...
MAG BUILD 1
MAG BUILD 2
MAG build 1 was my first attempt at anything like this and I really stumbled along. Quite frankly, I am amazed I actually even finished them. Build 1 was made from leather (kangaroo hide). I chose leather because it would not matter too much if the edges were not seamed. Roo hide also stretched heaps (about 6x that of cow hide), so is perfect for making shoes. The biggest mistake I made was the clean to where I didn't know about the "fold and tuck" method and as a result, I had to sew a cover. This meant the clean toe was not so clean anymore.
MAG Build 2 is made from a vinyl mesh. It is light, strong and breathes quite well considering it is synthetic. Instead of fully lining the shoe, I made a frame that allow the edges to be seamed and keeps most of the fabric as a single layer to avoid trapping heat. The idea has worked and I will be continuing the theme on build 3. Note the clean toe is clean

Yeah grey would break it up nicely. If anything just try out a few different colours on photoshop.

Emma, will you do toe correction? If so, I would suggest building the toe area up rather than cutting the toe box out. See airair's images of his V1 MAG.Excellent idea

Do you think I can use a dye spray for shoes for the MP mags? I kinda want to spray it in light grey, it's too "silver" too me? what do you guys think?^^'

Yeah a few members painted these to take off the shine.
Do you have any ideas what would be the best paint for this?
I mean i've been using dylon for the black version, but there are no grey dye by dylon, so need to find a spray for it, but i don't have any ideas, I thought about this: Leather Dye Spray Leather Cleaner Shoes Boots Car Seats Handbags 50 Colours 1 | eBay ?

It might be OK. Just be prepared to buy a few as the colour on the lid may not match the actual paint in the can. The stuff I bought was quite light on the lid, yet the paint was much darker. Kind of misleading actually.

Masking tape should be fine. Just be aware that you sometimes get leaks and runs (capillary action) so be prepared to have to touch up the white parts.yeal i'll see i guess >< Thanks

In case I have missed it, please post a pic or link to the pic. Are you wanting to make a entire new sole or clear parts for the existing ones?

Exactly, the "problem" with the toe area is NOT from the toe box being too boot like. It's actually from the front midsole being too thin. I think this should be finally be put to rest as Ive done it on mine as well as others and every picture looks closer than just a toe correction.
