i think the toe fix will be easy. all you will have to do is use a sharp knife to cut it out very carefully without damaging the rubber sole, then just fold it over or cut some of it off, like how jedifyfe explains in his video.

I'm more sad about the lack of EL light in the sole. I don't know why they would find the wiring so difficult?! when most of us on here can do it!

The toe is a bit of a deal killer for me too.

I think these are great for a con or to display with some props.. but for everyday wearing they are just off enough to look fake - they are iconic enough to draw attention and most people who are aware will know they are fake. Let alone we dont know how well they will wear in real life - fakes are really a crap shoot if you can actually wear them comfortably daily - all day.

Kudos to you guys with the balls to rip these apart and try and fix it... not in the cards for me. :thumbsup

Knowing this industry - I HIGHLY doubt there are multiple versions coming out - these asian sellers will tell you anything to get a sale. Almost all of these sellers get their shoes from the same place and may of the different sites are really the same sellers.

What is more likley is we will see revisions to the shoe coming out - IF people complain, like anything if you dont speak up nothing changes.

I do think we will see the price come down - after the initial wave of buyers - interest WILL die down and then there will be race to the bottom price wise. Happens on every hyped fake shoe. Keep in mind these are REALLY specialized shoes - not everyone likes them like an Air Jordan shoe so I would expect price drops relatively quickly.

If the EL Light on mine needs fixing, would someone kindly offer a fix for a small fee? I would gladly pay. Any fixes I attempt will surely end in a fail.

I bought the Yeezy 1 and 2 "prototypes" and oddly, they fit true and are comfortable. If any reps become uncomfortable, I call Dr. Scholl.

I more than likely will be doing the EL sole and strap along with the toe slimming for a fee. Not sure it will be small...Depends on how hard it is. If it as easy as the Markpoon mods, then I would guestimate $100-$150.

I agree that the toe is an issue. But, the majority of people will never notice. These shoes look sick and the lights will blow people's minds. To this niche group of people, they'll look fake, to the majority of people, the shoes will look amazing.

Totally agree with Mechinyun about sellers saying anything to make a sale.

Sorry about that. It was custom made by a plastics company here in LA. I think it was about $85.

parts do not come cheap especially EL sheets and inverters also labor on top of it.I would have guessed around $200 maybe more to rip apart the shoes,mod them and labor.Converting anything takes time and patience especially when there's no room for error.

Well, I've been watching the post and page count grow in this thread like crazy....time to comment. Not that what I'm going to say is anything new LOL

Am I disappointed with the pics? Absolutely. I was hoping for MUCH better. It seems like they didn't get anything in the design spot on. We'll see about materials when they arrive. Most of the faults are minor, however the toe cap, and lack of ELs in the strap and soles are DOA in my opinion. They MUST be modded. I'm glad that there is a wealth of knowledge here already in dealing with lighting and electronics for these. And hopefully a few of the vets will offer their services in this department.

As far as there being other manufacturers making a different, better version. I doubt it, but we can hope.

I wonder what the people who spent north of $200 are thinking right now... I feel bad they got in late when everyone was really hyping the shoes up.
