Still working on my 2nd Scratch Build, and here is a Heel Cup I Vac Pulled today.

Overall I am very satisfied. If they would have gotten the toe area right, I would be downright ecstatic. Glad I didn't wait.

I am curious to know how much time/effort will be involved in modding the toe area...

Took me all of ten minutes to alter the MP toes following Jedifyf's tutorial.

I'd seriously just wear them first because the toe looks much better than that of the V1 MAG. The V2 toe is rounded, but not the 'work boot' look of V1.

So whilst we are waiting for our shoes to arrive, would you please [pretty please with sugar on top] take photos of your RD MAGs that are comparable to the photos airair supplied? This would certainly help those sitting on the fence to make an informed decision.

I think to be honest the pic Brad photoshopped beside the v2s was good but if you want (and I remember) i'll do some this week for you all.

Soooooo, I have been told by shoesbagonsale that their Mags will be more accurate and better quality than hiphopiop...interesting, but probably lies :confused

There is probably is a few companies making these and therefore the quality may vary. In the end, it is a knock off after all and really, these can't be any worse than V1.

If this information is correct I wonder if one of the companies out there will do a EL version? or do you think their all pretty much the same? just one company i.e will have no thread around the finger holes lets say?

The Buck I made is based on this drawing.

I might get a chance to trim into shape tomorrow. They have to be done by the weekend for a 'shoe and tell'. From here, they will have laser cut letters glued on, have the PC Lights cutouts done and then add some detail and they should be ready for casting. I also intend to make left and right cups instead of the symmetrical design I did on my leather MAGs.

My Ankle Buckles are pretty decent too when I get a good Vac Form. I have one here that looks superb, and this one will have its inside filled, but leave a hollow for a battery. It too will be cast. I am also working on clear soles with a nice splayed edge.

I hope they're telling the truth.

The thing about the Chinese is that they are really big on 'saving face', so if they have to bend the truth a bit to ensure your business, they will. Just my experience dealing with them.

If there's one relieving thing that has come from this, is that the RDs will hold their value and probably now go up knowing that Chinas best knockoff attempt isn't anywhere near. Blunt, but true.

That said, these are brilliant for $100 and i'll be getting a pair for upcoming movie shows next month and modifying at least the toe section.

True and in the end, you shoes are Real Deal NIKE.

Just ran an image search for NIKE MAG wondering if the V2s might have leaked else where and found my own images including my patterns, my [now sold] MP MAGs, my leather MAGs, my V1 MAGs in various stages of transformation. Interesting.

That is the Internet for you. Nothing stays private or to a group unless it is heavily guarded. Makes you think twice about putting stuff up sometimes. Nearly every paper prop on eBay is from here, and you can slowly see Roland's hoverboard graphics showing up on boards there as well.
