New Voyagers Omni

OK thats a great option and I will keep it in mind Rob, thanks!! Oh I wanted to ask you would you like us to keep a look out for a good screen accurate silver clip for the omnis like something you can order in bulk??

YES!!
both are important. I want this project to be as interactive as possible. If you see something that will make the omni better and more accurate, never be afraid to post it. Parts, mistakes, suggestions. All are welcome.

Hey Rob here are some publicity photos and as you can see there is the omni from a far and also from kind of a side view to get some other perspective as far as scale and dials go. This is of course the first version of the omni used in the Pilot and the first 4 or 5 episodes. :)

Working on laying down the engravings and getting the shape of the globe correct. Let me know what you all think of the design/

Rob it looks incredible!!! Beautiful work!! I noticed two things. First the red V at least the top portion may need to be a bit thinner, I will post another omni photo you may want to take a look at. Also, there is 1 round bump on each of the 4 dials. Lastly, the numbers when you to the double digits for the first dial for the years look too spaced apart like 1 2 1 3 instead if 12 13. Thanks!!

I would like to see the photos. The dial assist knobs Ill put on soon. I am not sure I follow what you are saying about the numbers though.

VOYAGERS! GUIDEBOOK - The Omni

Here Rob if you can scroll down to the 11th picture on this link where he talks about the ball bearings used for grip. Also in this picture you can see that top section of the red V on the year dial I was talking about. Let me know what you think. thanks! :)

Ok if you look at the first year dial when you get to the 10 11 12 13 and so on it look looks like the numbers are spaced too far apart like for instance 11 12 you have like 1 1 1 2.

They are not ball bearings, they are rivets.
The photos shows the V under magnification, so don't use that as a method of measurement. Use this photo
