Yeah not sure about the purple...Looks like thats when the toy comes into play. If his jaw opens as stupidly wide as the toy does and he shoots purple whatever...:facepalm

I see that the JGSDF has finally learned their lesson and are now attacking Godzilla at stand off distances instead of at virtually point blank range.

Nobody can replicate Akira Ikafube's music(sp?) but this is a pretty good follow up. I just hope there isnt too much emphasis on the human characters. Of course there needs to be some, I just hope not TOO much.

I dunno about the purple-I dunno about the RED either since I read it's supposed to be lava? yea....lava...inside a living creature,I can suspend my belief but there are limits.

However it still looks good so I want to see what they've come up with,and I mentioned the music too I'd love to hear some of the original in the background of this.

I keep up with the Godzilla/giant monster stuff and it came up that the glowy red stuff was lava,can't tell if that's a bad translation or what but what I heard I'm still trying to find out.

It is Anno though and he's an odd one so I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

Oh and this is coming to the US,we're one of the places it's going to get distributed to.

I love VFX breakbowns. So is Godzilla CG for the entire film? I figured they'd just gotten crafty with the suit, but those effects look quite natural.

I still really want to see this. Has anyone else seen it yet? Unfortunately there were no screenings here that I could see.

Anno did this so I'm not at all surprised he basically turned Godzilla into an angel from Evangelion,and I don't mind it at all it brings something new to the series yet it feels very much like a retelling of the original 1954 film.
