New Steampunk raygun

Unfortunately I do not own a camera that can take a decent clear pic. But anyway.

I never had a clear plan with this one, just a box of random parts that I thought would be good enough to attach to something Steampunkish. But I recently acquired the brass vase. After that, I had to make a raygun out of it.

it looks fantastic, i really love the lines of the brass vase, and the copper wire / pipe and green vial additions.

One thing though, the handle looks as though it doesn't match up all that well with the main body of the ray gun. The main body looks fantastic, the handle looks like its made from wood, and just doesn't fit in with the overall raygun - Sorry to criticize, it does look great.

Yea I noticed that myself. And really, I have not liked that handle since I put it on there. I just did not think of any better design for it.

fwiw it's not the design of the handle that is lacking... just the color could be retuned. It gives the appearance that you tried to make it blend with the brass... and perhaps a dark stain to give it an antique polished wood look might be more period correct for the steampunk vintage feel.
