New Star Wars books and comics....

Read all the books. Haven't read the comics yet. Lost Stars is the best. Aftermath was god awful. How that book got past an editor is beyond me. It's like the author has never written more than tweets. Can't believe they gave him a trilogy.

I was actually thinking about creating a Facebook group to discuss Star Wars lit. Any interest?

That's why I waited to buy that one. I read the chapter or so they had on starwars.com and it didn't feel like the author understood SW at all. Why they didn't ask a good established SW author to write is beyond me.

I thought there were 2 or 3 novels that were supposed to bridge the gap between ROTJ and TFA. Not sure i have time to read all that in 2 months :)

Ah... I thought you meant all the new canon stuff. "Journey to the Force Awakens" material is mostly Shatered Empire, Aftermath, Lost Stars, Uprising, and Battlefront DLC. Thus far, anyway. I think the upcoming C-3PO miniseries is also set in that period. There are hints also that some stuff in Rebels and Marvel Star Wars will appear in or be relevant to TFA. More manageable? ;)

Much more, thank you :)

Yeah, the initial books released, New Dawn, Tarkin, Heir to the Jedi, and Lords of the Sith feel like they may have been in the works prior to the Journey to TFA and have an almost previous EU vibe to me. They can certainly be skipped along with the current STAR WARS, Vadet, Lando comics.

I've finished lost stars is not as I expected from comments , trying to fit into Canon a bit too much , aftermath has a much better star wars feel to it , half way through and enjoying it .
