New Star Trek TOS Phaser coming November 2014

just got mine delivered by the po,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, after examining both units I have a perfect remote and 1 with a ****** emitter very stiff rotating the nozzle ( BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOUR NOZZLE IS TIGHT, IT IS THE SAME SYSTEM THE MR HAD AND CAN POSSIBLE SNAP AWAY THE LED TO EMITTER CONNECTION WHICH IS WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE MR)
and a possibly bad P1(charging it now) other than these problems it is a very well laid out design, feels good in the hand and easy to use interface, the vibration motor is nice when shooting :p

I'll update after testing everything out..................

edit: all is well

if you have a stiff nozzle you can try to use pure silicone lube ( this is what I used to free up both the MR and the WC nozzles ), they have used a dry film lubricant on these which doesn't really work that great, so again be careful when testing out the rotation.................

Interesting. On my monitor it looks a little on the grayer side, almost like a gunmetal or very dark silver. Happens a lot in photos. The original was color matched in daylight to Rustoleum Dark Bronze Metallic, and the replica makers who've examined the original go with a dark metallic bronze. I just couldn't be sure from the photos how close they'd gotten it, and since I had to cancel mine for the foreseeable future, I just thought I'd ask. It would be cool if someone could take theirs out into daylight and shoot some snaps next to the Rustoleum color.

Has way more effects than the MR.

I have not played with the volume on the wand but it is louder as well

Just got mine and love it! In regards to the sound effects, how does this compare to the MR?

Both packages, from ST.com and Think Geek, arrived on the same day. I will say that with Think Geek's free shipping you get, or rather don't get what you don't pay for. They just popped the box into a flimsy non-padded envelope and shipped it. When itt arrived the package was partially torn open with the torn corner of the box poking through. Upon opening, the cardboard outer box was trashed! crunched and torn open on both ends. Fortunately the plastic display box was un scathed and the phaser inside was fine. Still, it's kind of appalling.

On the other hand the one from Star Trek.com came in a sturdy outer box with extra padding and was in perfect shape.

Overall I'm very happy with this phaser. My only complaints are minor, especially considering the price point. And if you have more than one the boxes interlock for stacking!

The Wand Co. is aware of the geeks packaging or rather lack there of.

I'm sure they will get in touch with them on their lack of customer service in packaging

Got mine after ordering less than a week back from ThinkGeek. The 2 Wand cartons were loose in a bigger box, but the outer cartons were just only scuffed a tiny bit from rattling around.

First impressions upon opening the first phaser case I got (P1 still charging right now).

• Inside padding on phaser case seems to be a high quality fabric/rubber foam combo. Beautifully soft and protective with a gorgeous detailed texture.
• The plastic part of the phaser body seems more like the MR phaser in that it almost seems like high quality painted metal without the extra weight.
• The satin metal parts look more aluminum right out of the box than the pictures showed.
• The total phaser setup seems to be only a tiny bit lighter than the MR phaser, and it still has a good solid weight to it (though I didn't do a side by side yet).
• The sound holes on top of the grill on the P1 cannot be seen from most angles.

Overall, this seems to be much more like a higher quality replica than I was expecting.

Second Impressions after unboxing and charge up.

• LED effects are very very similar in quality and look to the MR by using a sparkling effect that is bright, and incredibly awesome looking.
• Vibrating force feedback is done just right. A bit of vibration to enhance the firing effect and the vibration motor is not too loud or intrusive at all.
• Sounds are loud (you can adjust the volume too) and crystal clear. It's got a full bodied sound to the audio.
• When hooked to the USB cable the Phaser P1 talks and tells you when it's regenerated. How cool is that!

I'm frankly impressed that this comes in at anything near the under $150 mark. Whatever Wand showed us so far doesn't seem to do justice to just how impressive this in in person. For anyone that missed the Master Replicas phaser or contemplated buying the MR TOS phaser on eBay for $1000USD plus, they will be happy. In some ways this phaser exceeds the functions of the MR phaser, though the Master Replicas has a few better and costlier metal parts. The downside is the MR phaser is expensive (if you can even find it), super fragile and easily prone to malfunction and breakage. The Wand phaser is thoughtfully engineered and built solidly with a variety of settings and features never seen before in this type replica. In short, it's amazing.

I've got 2 so far with 2 more coming. A solid deal and a best buy for sure.

Hello all! I've been following this thread since the beginning and I must say this is the quickest I've seen any company produce a product from concept to final product to shipping!!! I've just got my confirmation email from StarTrek.Com I few minutes ago!!! This looks like an awesome piece and I want to thank all who posted there pictures and videos for us! I've missed the Master Replicas phaser and I don't regret it. I hated how they totally screwed up the rear fins and other little details. This one is epic! Canceled my Federation phaser metal upgrade parts!!!

Don't waste time, or time will waste you!

My think geek package showed up the same way. tattered and Inner box opened at both end's and crumpled. but luckily the case Is very protective of the content's. at first I almost thought the postman was playing with my stuff..

Yep, my Think Geek came trashed as well, similar to the pics posted. Fortunately, the case and the Phaser were ok...

wow , just WOW they really went with the cheapest possible packaging ,, geezzzzzzzzzzzzz

My 2 from ST.com came boxed with a little paper padding, still shook around inside but no crushed boxes....

On a side note TG.com lowered the price to $139.95 and if am correct, the discount code (ELFINSALE) (( NO BRACKETS)) is good till Dec. 2nd

My TG order was (shipped on the 20th) packed in a nice box, not in flimsy envelope. Maybe they ran out of boxes. My Trek.com order was in a nice flat box like the one others have shown.

First and second impressions are that this thing is marvelous.

I made two separate phaser orders in the same day from TG. One arrived in a bag, the other in a box. Weird. Perhaps they switch to bags if they are running low on boxes.
