New Spidey Suit for The Amazing Spiderman 2

Depends on what you call obvious...the back spider changed pretty drastically and the front spider was enlarged between films. I would say that's equal to making the eyes a little bigger.

Also, why should it seem so strange that pete would upgrade his suit? The only explanation needed is that his other one got wrecked in battle and he needed a new one. So why does it have to be the exact same?
Yes, the Spiders got a little bigger, but it was style a slight change and it wasn't very obvious. It's like tweaking the brick texture on the suit. Sure, it's a tweak, but it won't be too obvious unless you look really closely.
I don't mind him upgrading his suit. I just don't want them to make it look obviously different and then not explain why.

I know what u mean. But think about the joy in doing another suit and imagine both suits standing beside each other. Visually brilliant!

I wasn't a fan of the ASM suit, but it grew on me. Even so, my biggest problem with the ASM suit is that instead of looking like an original design, like Peter Parker was supposed to come up with, it looked like a variation on someone else's design, with a bunch of needless changes breaking up the flow of the original. I realize it's hard not to see it that way when you know that an original design exists (but obviously is not supposed to exist in the reality of ASM), but it really does look like a bunch of alterations were made to a simpler design just for the sake of changes. Could Peter have gone through several designs, altering his own, original design? Yes, and I also realize the original costume design might not make sense if it were designed today as opposed to back in 1963, but I still stick with my feeling that it had the feel of a design based on someone else's design.

About Spider-man's eye size, I feel like the size of the eyes actually started getting bigger before McFarlane, and it stemmed from the black/symbiote suit having larger white eyes, which it needed to have, since the suit was black and it couldn't have the black borders to define it like on the original red & blue suit. There was the period where Peter was alternating between the red & blue suit and the non-symbiote, cloth version of the black suit, and I think the artists just started making the white part of the eyes bigger on the red & blue suit because they liked it from the black suit.

I'm going to throw this out there, this was the suit used in an EARLY trailer for Spider-Man (2002) exclusively for some expo. They were originally going to use this design for the movie! Search for "Spiderman 1 Unseen Trailer" it shows this costume, even the web-shooters they originally were going to use! Look at those eyes, all rounded and huge closer to the comics.

Well if you take the Raimi costume (which was based on the years of comics) and slap a different spider and new eyes on it it's still based on the comics, right?

That'll do for a spidey suit. That'll do. I like this loads better than the ASM suit, even though I liked that one just fine.

This is the best Spider-man costume to ever be in a movie! With the new costume and body type this is going to be the best representation to date.

It is almost like a few costumes I have seen on this forum. It is as if Mark Web searched through some RPF post and pointed to a few costumes people made here and said, "That is what I want the costume to look like!"

I wouldn't blame him. Great talent on this forum.

I absolutely love what I've seen of this new suit. It combines the best of Raimi and Reboot suits together.

I was never that keen on the previous reboot suit, thats why I made my Raimi, this is a good move in my book. I'll definitely be making one of these! I can't wait, bouncing in my seat already and its only pre-production, lol.

well, its technically not pre-production because that would be the planning stage. this is principal photography. :p

I really like the size and shape of the eyes I just think they should be more "Romita-ish". Meaning the size they are, but the white should be smaller and the black thicker.
