New Spidey Suit for The Amazing Spiderman 2

oh yeah! I didn't even really notice that! That is a nice little nod....
And yes, Raimi's version had done some very accurate things before, but they didn't necessarily do it right......
But i will say this about the Raimi Spider Man: when Tobey Maguire was in his suit, it looked MUCH more accurate to the comics than Andrew Garfield. but, Garfield's acting seriously surpassed Maguire's

You keep saying, "the comics," when that's completely unfair. Garfield's look was taken almost directly from the The Ultimate Spider-Man. You can't just take one incarnation of Spider-Man and call that the be all end all.

I think it makes sense that Garfield was the size he was, he was still supposed to be in HIGHSCHOOL!

I think people get too worked up over the movies. Think of it in terms of the comic series. There are SO many incarnations of Spidey out there, ranging from Amazing, Ultimate, Spectacular, too many to name. The point is, there are plenty of story arcs and plenty of versions...why can't movies do the same thing? The Raimi movies are what they are, and the Webb movie is different...ain't nothin' wrong with that! (Even though I think the Webb version is superior in most regards...)

...Then why is it called "the Amazing Spider Man" instead of "the Ultimate Spider Man".... care to explain that one?
But i do agree with you story wise. you pretty much HAVE to make up a lot of elements for movies, but you can still keep key details from the originals (which both Raimi and Webb did).

They called it that so it wouldn't have the same name as the Raimi trilogy. Simple as that. They didn't call it that so they could follow the same story as that particular comic.

Yeah, i guess that is right... and most people know the title "The Amazing Spider Man" better than "The Ultimate Spider Man".

It's called having a vocabulary.
(y)cool:thumbsup
Also, while I'm thinking of this i should probably say it. In my earlier posts, if i sounded like i was being a jerk, i wasn't meaning to argue. I was honestly just talking and just kinda sharing my thoughts on the subject, because to be honest, i REALLY liked the Amazing Spider Man. so, just want to make sure no body misinterprets what i was saying :D i like it just as much as you guys!

Not at all, I'm glad we can all have meaningful discussions about the film without it going overboard.

Well, I Hope The New Suit Will be more inspired by the comics while keeping elements of the 1rst one, Here's what i think that could be done for this suit: first of all, Add The trademark waist "Belt" red stripe, for the gloves, more red areas while keeping some of the original configuration, Make the suit in 7 separate pieces to make it more practical & bigger eyes. By The Way, i think that they will use the utility belt shown in the videogame & introduce the Spider-Tracers. Voilà, That's The Perfect Suit For TASM 2 (or whatever title they will add).

did you guys see this yet? ASM concept art!

Yes, should make anyone who was unhappy with the new suit be pleased that they didn't go with that design. I mean, holy crap is that ugly, and that's not even the worst one!

There was even one that looked like a rainbow :/

All of those are terrible. I can understand tweaking certain aspects of the costume design given the medium, but this just reeks of redesigning it to redesign it.

You know, maybe they just drew those suits to give them ideas of things they could add to the suit.... maybe those suits were never actually in consideration, they were just drawn to help spark ideas?

Well, if it was drawn, it was SOMEONE's idea for a suit. It doesn't mean Webb ever considered it, but the artist might have liked them.
