NEW OLD BSG VIPER

Just curious about the email update from May 6. I've been getting them throughout the project, but haven't received this latest one that was mentioned...

Looks like a great kit. Many thanks.

Ditto.

Not sure if an actual update email was sent, or if he was just answering emailed questions though. Sure all is fine, just in case though.

Guess what I found waiting on my doorstep when I went home for lunch?

Woo hooo. Didn't have a lot of time to look everything over.

First I must say, everything looks very professional. Nice packaging and instructions. Great decals. I wish all the props and kits could be this nice.

Anyway, I look forward to getting home and taking everything out.

Hats off to everyone involved in this kit. Job well done. I can't wait to see people posting pics of finished models.

Later,

Chris

Got mine today too, #14 off the press. Just had time for a quick peek but its a class job from what I can see. This is so cool...
:thumbsup

Well. It's so good I have been stealing moments at work to cleam up the parts. The photos that have been shown online already do not do the model justice. The casting is impecable. I did find some medium sized voids on my fuselage greeblie-plates, but that is to be expected in even the finest resin castings. I work with resin myself and don't really see it as a problem.

Hopefully those are in areas that are covered by the plates.....is that what ya mean?

Everyone...be careful when you cut the COCKPIT glass....go OVER sized by 1/2 mm.

You can always TRIM to fit...you can never GROW to fit.

Nothing a little epoxy putty cant handle.

But i thought I had screened those better. If its beyond your skill level, Im happy to replace them.

(that sounds so horrible, but it wasnt meant to. Just never know how familiar someone is with resin kits. So if that sounded offensive I apologize it wasnt meant to be so)

I just want happy customers....

Hey Guys
Just want to let you all know how pleased I am to hear that every one is enjoyed my little Viper scratch build kit :)

I have done my best when I mastered the parts for this, and hopefully it will be easy and fun to assemble. There are ofcourse always areas which can be discussed why it's done it like that etc, but this is how I did it.
If I should make it again I will probably do it differently.

Feel free to add and trim your model how you seem fit, I will love to see those improvements posted here :)

My own kit should arrive in a couple of days,...yeppie :)

I will also like to thank the people who have helped me - thanks guys.

Moe

Another happy camper found something waiting in the mailbox. The kit looks fantastic and it is BIG. Kudos to everyone. This is my second resin kit, so I'll be learning and enjoying as I go. :D

I am totally happy with the kits. It will only take me 45 seconds to fix the part. It is part of building resin kits. If anyone has ever built the Monsters in Motion Viper then they will understand what a pleasure that this kit will be.

I cast resin as well and didn't see this as a problem. I just thought that a picture would be more valuable than me struggling to explain what I was talking about earlier.

HOLY CRAP.. Just got my 2 vipers in the mail yesterday, and echoing everyone else, AWESOME.. :thumbsup

I've purchased at least a dozen resin kits, including the Fed. Models. Cylon, The M.I.M. Viper and C.C. X-Wing, and I must say, this one tops them all. Moe/Frank have done a SUPERB job.. This is absolutely the cleanest, nicest resin kit I've seen. What a blast this is going to be to put together.

Thanks Moe and Frank for realizing this awesome ship, and turning it into such a fine kit. Look forward to your add-ons.

Awesome.................

I cant tell you how happy we are that everyone is enjoying the kit.

Its really been a labor of love as we REALLY dig the show.

Thanks for the nice words. And Special thanks TO CAPT CARDBOARD,
This kit is as nice as it is because I spent time Watching how Scott made his molds, etc.
I have learned SO much from him its not even funny, not to meantion the quality of his KIT is what inspired and guided me. He is an exceptional model builder and a good friend. As soon as I find his address Im sending him a special Thank you card with Wings. If any of you have it shoot it to me will ya.

Please, for those of you that are new to resin building, you have a TON of experience at your fingertips with your fellow model builders. JUST ASK US.

Also, the BSG Group is a great place to post pics of your kit as you build it, as well as share info.

I have already posted some pics of how and where I dremeled to install the lights.

I also added aluminum tubing to the upper engine detail panels. I just drilled through the fin parts and insert tiny tubes and it really kicks it.

Moe and I spent a 1/2 hour on the phone yesterday talking about the Mark Seven as well as the APOLLO version. We are going to offer the APOLLO version with a STANDING pilot brandishing a blaster, as well as a seated version in case ya want him flying. The kit will also feature a landing gear option.
I will still drill the kit for the stand, so that will have to be filled if you decide to make it with the gear down.

Have fun.

Frank
