New MG-34 in town! (Denix)

Yep, had the same difficulties trying to get a Mauser "Broom Handle" for a Solo costume Had to phone my Father in Belgium to get one sent by mail to my house

Although a C96, dating from before 1898, counts as an antique and is therefore perfectly legal as a replice, it's just that none of the retailers carry it. I brought mine back from GenCon and Customs clearly looked at it and then passed it, because my suitcase had one of those little "we opened your bag" notes in it.

I expect that because Denix brands the C96 as part of their WW2 line, the various retailers just don't bother with it.

I soon as I have some extra money I'm in! I've been wanting to make the Stormtrooper blaster version for a long time!

I really hope one day Denix will make the Sterling Mk4 L2A3 so we can convert it into an E-11 Stormtrooper blaster. I posted quite a few times on their Facebook page regarding the Sterling, maybe others can chime in to see more interest from fans. Denix already have shown some MG34 conversions on DLT-19 rifle on their FB pages, so they know about Star Wars blaster conversions.

That would be awesome. Didn't they use some type of airsoft Sterling in the Rogue One movie? I definitely would prefer an all metal version though. I'm fine with the one real one I have, so it would be cool if something accurate and more affordable was around to fill out the other variants I don't have.

I believe they used the Evike airsoft for RO E-11, and there are quite a few differences from MK4 Sterling. But as I'm interested in OT, I would love a Denix Mk4 L2A3 Sterling. I own a real conversion, as well as a Master Replicas E-11 (and a couple other resin ones), but that wouldn't stop me from buying one or even two Denix Sterlings to convert.

Heck, I wouldn't mind if Denix makes a Canadian C1 Sterling, this would be ok for ROTJ, though it is a bit different from the original MGC. Fieldmarhal Sterling is beautiful, but very expensive, and not always an option for EU customers, due to various customs laws in their countries. But most EU countries would allow a Denix Sterling and it would be shipped locally.

I literally just used a sanding block. I just took my time, made some areas lighter and other areas I just stripped the paint off. I switched out one of the grip bolts with a brass one. I painted the piece below the ejection port. I'm going to darken and weather the stock after I do some engraving on it and install a butt plate + proper size screw. Mainly i tried to replicate mg34s I've seen on line for sale. I really liked this one

This is a superb offering from Denix and nice to see that - for the most part - the soft edges and bad casting they are renowned for have been avoided.

For me the problem with weathering any Denix is that they look incredible as soon as the weathering is done but over time the exposed pot-metal turns a blue shade that I dislike very much because it looses its realism.

I'd be interested in seeing how these hold up....

I'm hoping they'll make a lewis gun or an mg42. I saw the airsoft mg42 but its like $700.

Added my 1st greeblie. Had no idea what this thing was so I used a bolt. I drilled a hole in it, cut off the threads. Then tapped it with a 6-32 tap and screwed it on the grip.

You guys of course had to go and find one im now interested in building because it has different foundpart entirely, which appears to be no other than the 1977 Revell Visible V8 part #104 “Pulley, Rear Half”
I got an extra here if someone else wants to build this one
