I don’t think it needs one because the neck size on this lightsaber is now thicker after the Sabine modifications.

If I had to speculate, I think the modifications were added for filming production reasons. These hilts are now practical hilts meaning they have to have a lit blade and be used for stunt fighting. This is also why I believe Luke’s lightsaber that appeared in Madalorian now has the extended emitter ring that allows more support of the blade.

I think that unless some new technology or building method comes along, any new design you see for live action will stay away from thin necks in order for the practical hilt to match a static hilt of that same design.

Most of the times, these legacy types (hilt only and not limited editions ) are not offered on line unless they are overstocked. Most of the times the ones that get released when new are the ones that are offered in other areas of the park that comes with blades, stands, clip in the long box.

There have been exceptions in the past such a Dooku’s Jedi lightsaber so it does happen. I just don’t want you getting your hopes up when release time comes. Here’s hoping.

I am wondering if they will release it as part of the Life Day celebrations.

I just played Vader Immortal last week. For the first time since being a kid, Vader felt very imposing. The design of the Bright Star was a high point as well. But the other hilts in the dojo were insteresting designs as well.
