New Hasbro Toy Lightsabers

Looks like the Cal lightsaber that they included with the deluxe game package will be offered as an individual item on the Disney website on 31 July.

From the image, it looks as if it is in a long box that usually includes a blade and stand too which the other did not.

I can’t find much more about it yet but it would appear based on that image that they are only doing the main lightsaber and not a shoto. This was the same thing they did with her Clone Wars hilt.
 
I have not done a lot of comparison between the Black Series vs Legacy vs actual prop but I did notice that the Black Series is missing those fasteners that are half way up the hilt that are also present on the props on display at SDCC…

I guess it is possible there were detail differences in practical version and stunt and hero assuming those props exist.
 
While it's not remotely on par with either the Black Series or Disney park sabers, I picked up Hasbro's Lightsaber Forge version of Ahsoka's saber. Unlike literally every other saber in the series, it at least bore a passing resemblance to the actual saber. In that it's modular a la the old Bladebuilder line, the blade was easily removed and replaced with a 1 1/8" plastic tube, generously wrapped in duct tape to snug it up in the emitter. The removable emitter was also a little loose, so I firmed it up with a couple more bits of duct tape on the threads. The blade's not duel worthy but it beats the crap out of the collapsible blade it came with. Like I said, it's far from replica quality, but it's still a fun little piece.
