New Hasbro Toy Lightsabers

Yeah don't pay those prices, Hasbro will be making more of these...

Right??!! At least now I have a reason to go in every bed-bath-and-beyond, toys-r-us or target I drive by... I'll convert that bad boy but not at x2.5 current retail cost for a donor.

i get sick to my stomach thinking i saw 2 Lukes at the same time at the barns and nobel... damn. my girlfriend and i are on almost every internet sign up you can think of now. she just came back from a walmart up north on her way home from work... nothing.... i prey they have another shipment come april when it comes out on dvd... otherwise ever single walmart in a 40 mile radius from me has had empty shelfs since before Xmas...

Not sure what your meaning, but they are priced at $149.99.
Better yet is the 20% discount we get with our annual pass.

I just mean if you have to go to Disneyland/world to get the only halfway decent licensed 1:1 lightsaber replica that'll be a pretty d!ck move.

Some POS on ebay is claiming they made 547 of the Luke sabers in a limited run. Don't believe this stuff people, these are mass produced and there WILL BE MORE.

I'm thinking an RPF group buy is in order... put me down for one + case of beer, tank of gas, pizza, whatever works for whoever is willing to deal with Disneyworld...

There's a rumor on the FX-Sabers board that there's an added difference with the new models between slow and fast swing sounds but I don't really see it in the review. Now who will be the first to get one and convert it to battle-ready with write-up and lots and lots of pics? :D

There's a good variety of sounds with these. I have the Vader and it even has a different clash sound for soft/hard contact.

Coming next month...

Once again, it looks like whoever at Hasbro on charge of design did not bother to check references from the actual movie as this is suppose to be TFA version.

Just received my Luke Black Series Force FX... I can confirm that like the Vader, there are several light swing sounds, and several heavy swing sounds - along with light/hard clash sounds. It is also very bright, I can't actually see any dim spots up the blade.

Here's a short video demonstrating some of the sounds:

I got it from the evilbay, so maybe more stupid than lucky, but it seemed like the last "new" one left on the planet!

I hear ya buddy, u never know heck we may not get anymore so by u buying one now, it is probably cheaper then what they will be going for in a year

As the prices creep up and past $400 on fleabay I am having a hard time resisting the urge to get a Black Series Luke ANH. Is there any word on more becoming available? Are they still at Disneyworld/land for $150?

Someone talk me off the ledge and tell me this is just a logistical screw-up that will be remedied soon and that I should just be patient... please...

It isn't like one run and done collectables companies, its hasbro. They will re release it, or come out with a new one. This is only the start of Star Wars mania. If you pay that much you will feel bad. I'd agree with the real graflex suggestion for that budget. Its effects are imagination powered, but it feels so good to have.
