New Doctor Who Series Discussion *Spoilers*

Putting on the crazy cap for a second - could River Song be the Big Bad of the season? She's somehow involved in the Alliance and this could be her "killing the great man"?

She is already in jail in this episode so I'm assuming she already killed whoever she killed.

I don't think that really meant anything, it was just a mildly comedic line to show her disapproval of how badly the Doctor ruined Amy's life.

And seriously though guys, we went weeks without any spoiler tags because, obviously, spoilers is written in the title of the thread. So why is everybody wasting time with them now?

I thought it was funny when River says she doesn't like wizard fairy tales because they always turn out to be the doctor. :lol

If the crack is sealed in the end I think she will just go back to where the season started. I bet the Doctor stops back and says goodbye to her as a little girl in the end (the scene in the first episode where the Tardis seems to be arriving when she is still a little girl waiting for the Doctor to come back).

I can not wait until next week :cry:cry

You know if you think about it the Doctor is flying the Tardis just the wrong one (Dr Song).

Karen is signed for the next season so she'd not going anywhere. :)

I'm going to make a guess how the Doctor gets out. Pure speculation but I'll spoiler tag it.
When the Doctor is working on the box and River is in the TARDIS and they are talking, you can see the Vortex Manipulator on the stone ledge next to the box's opening. When he knew something was up, I bet he snuck it into a pocket or something to use as a backup escape plan.

Well now I'm going to have to go back and try to spot that, I didn't even know that thing was visible in any shots.

Looks like it's earlier when the Doctor is talking to River and she's on the horse. But definately at the end when the Doctor is being locked in, it's gone.

He can't get to his pockets, though. I think the TARDIS still blows, the cracks still happen and the alliance goes, "Whoops, we got the wrong person and have no ideas. Let's free the Doctor and hope he won't be to pissed to help."

:p

:p

The VM has been set to 'whistle mode' where a wolf whistle activates it. It's one of Captain Jack's little additions.

I've said this elsewhere; I'll say it here.

The "Dream Lord" was reflected in the TARDIS panel after he had 'left' at the end of Amy's choice.

The next episode featured the Silurians - who were present at the Pandorica, despite being asleep at that time - and the death of Rory - who died once already, during the Amy's Choice episode. Now he's dead again, and lives again.

The next episode featured Vincent, who painted the picture that brought this episode to the Pandorica.

River forces open the TARDIS doors, only to find - a cement wall. How surreal. How dream-like.

All of these enemies of the Doctor, suddenly and inexplicably banded together. The Pandorica is a fairy tale. Like Pandora's Box - Amy's favorite fairy tale. The whole universe exploding. It's like... a bad dream.

All the major players for the season are accounted for in the finale - Churchill, River, Vincent, the Daleks, the Silurians, Rory, The Queen, The Atraxi... Somebody's Missing.

Were there two dreams the Dreamlord started - or three? Two of which Everybody knew were false... and one that has lasted for several episodes.

After all, if so many of the Doctors sworn enemies were to actually make a pact, they wouldn't just disband if the Doctor escaped the Pandorica. They've all wanted him dead - as an alliance, they'd never have to face him singularly again. An alliance like that is literally a show-stopper. The Doctor is as hunted as Bin Laden; the alliance must be unmade - or must never have existed - for the show to continue outside of some cosmic spider-hole.

Yes - I know - but the cracks... What if the Dream Lord is a manifestation of whatever is behind the cracks? What is leaking out of the cracks? Perhaps it's the Matrix.

"The Matrix is part of the Amplified Panatropic Computer Network, or APC Net, which contains the biological imprints (or bio-data extracts) of all Time Lords as well as the memories of dead Time Lords, storing them in an extradimensional framework of trillions of electrochemical cells. It also receives input from sensors contained in the TARDIS time machines piloted by Time Lords.

Ah well - enough wankery...

Anyone else notice that Amy Pond's home has a stair case to the 2nd floor, and to the 3rd floor, but there IS no 3rd floor? The steps lead to a flat ceiling. No carpet is on the steps. No carpet leads to those 3rd floor steps.

I literally have no idea how they can satisfactorily get out of this cliffhanger.

Which is delightful, because I know they will. Saturday can't come quickly enough. :thumbsup
