New Doctor Who Series Discussion *Spoilers*

My guess is that they are doing it so they can get into pre-production for "The Pond Life" series. They have to put something out since Torchwood is off the map and, very sadly, any further episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures are impossible.

Please NOOOOOOOOOOO :lol.

I just do not know what more could be done with those characters. Would they have to battle alian's and supernatural forces all while bitching how nearly being killed has disrupted there normal human life :confused?

We have iterated through just about every relationship issue possible throughout the last few Who seasons. I just can not think of what else they could do (Maybe a cooking show?).

Their relationship jumped the shark for me in Assylum. They've gotten to the point that all they need to do is sign the divorce paper and only then it comes out that she loves him so much she's letting him go.

Groan...

What was unbelievable about that is that they don't bother to mention to the Doctor that whatever was done to Amy made her infertile.

Ummm..

Guy who has access to all of time and space. Who's moniker is DOCTOR.

And they don't ask, 'hey doc, can you fix Amy's womb?'

Moronic.

Or maybe it's something that will be addressed.

personally I hope the characters are killed off, its not happened on new who yet as far as I can recall ,the closest we had was Donna forgetting the Doctor, having them die would push the Doctor further down the dark road he already seems to be cantering down. Saying that they probably wont be killed, it'll doubtless end on a high happy note......or will it?

I think handling Donna was worse than death. Really, becoming something so much greater (not even including the Doctor/Donna stuff) and then being reduced back to an imbecilic simpleton? It wouldn't have been any different to blow half her brains out and leave her a vegetable.

Agreed. That was gut wrenching.

Also, if they had not brought Rose back after she got trapped that would have been REALLY effective.

#11 wouldn't leave Amy alone if she stood in his face and said "we're happy. leave us alone" a hundred times. Does anyone really think that? Sure, he'd take off...maybe for years at a time. But he would never leave her alone. #11 wouldn't.

I think it's going to be something more drastic. Maybe the angels will send them back in time, they'll get their normal life, and the doctor can go on.

There's just no way the Pond thing is going end with "we want a normal life. Goodbye".

It's gonna be rough.

and there won't be a Pond Life spin off and they won't star in Torchwood. come onnnn. :)

But the Doctor has a time machine, couldn't he just cruse back and pick them up or visit :confused. If you have a Tardis that does not seem to be a real major roadblock.

if any one noticed as the dalek was flying backward towards the others on self destruct you can see the line that it was being pulled by . look closely and carefully and you will see it!!!1

I really hope they don't do what I suspect they might do and
have Rory and Amy stuck in New York of the past and raise a baby River thus erasing the timeline wherein she grows up and marries the Doctor.

I don't know how that would even work but I can see this happening. But with certain revelations in AotD it's the only way I see the characters being given any kind of happy ending without some equally preposterous Deus ex machina.

We also know that there's a scene with
the Doctor and Amy sitting by themselves in a graveyard which was emotional enough to make Matt Smith start crying.

And the added mystery of the
Melody Malone book which seems to feature throughout the final Ponds episode

And there have been some rumors floating about that
this will be River's final episode
. Hopefully this does not make my first prediction correct.

Fixed event. Can't mess with it.

next...

:)

:lol

Although I think it may be something more drastic than Amy just saying "go away" I do think 11 would oblige her if she did.

That said, the Angels sending her back and him not able to retrive her? Doubt it.

More likely based on the spoilers in the last post:

Angels send Rory back, Rory does something in the past that can't be messed with, and then Amy asks the Doctor to take her to be with him. Maybe the scene AlexBC was referencing with the grave is Rory's grave.

Btw, it seemed like such a missed opportunity to not reference the family ties in DoaS. I hope we get some some son-in-law quips in TPoT.
