Hey everyone, I haven't been on the RPF in a while but I wanted to give an update since the new batch of PCBs just arrived. I have redesigned the PCB a bit so now there are two options, one that uses standard LEDs and another that utilizes NeoPixels.
Both PCBs feature onboard resistor pads for the LEDs and data lines. Because of the variety of methods for connecting accent LEDs on different soundboards, the PCB allows for common cathode or common anode configurations. For the NeoPixel PCB, each pixel has a resistored data-in and data-out pad for independent operation. If it is desired for both pixels to utilize the same data signal, there is a bridge pad that will allow for that too with the data-out preserved if needed.
For each PCB kit, the resistors will be included. For the LED PCB there will be different values for the resistors that can be chosen to account for different voltage inputs (3.3V pad vs. full battery voltage). The NeoPixel board will have two different resistor values for each data line. Because SMD soldering can be a pain if you don't have the right tools for the job, I will offer assembly options for this PCB.
I have tested the LED PCB and everything works fine so I will add them to my storefront in the next few days. I still need to test the NeoPixel PCB before posting for sale.
Another thing. I will offer these PCBs as an upgrade option to prior customers for only $5 (kit with no triangle inserts or side switch).
I'll post an update to this thread when the new PCBs are listed, as well as on the Facebook page I have which hasn't been used in a while.

Can someone explain the difference between the common anode or cathode configuration? I’m not sure which one to buy. Thanks.
