New Captain America Project WIP (pic heavy)

What materials did you use, and where did you get them and how much did they cost?

The main parts of the suit were made with 500d Cordura and jumbo 'super' spandex. I get my Cordura from Rockywoods and spandex usually from Stretch House. The faux leathers I bought locally and most of the other materials were sourced locally from various fabric and hardware stores. The fabrics typically ran between $10-15/yd.

Where did you get the star? I read the other posts and I didn't see where you referenced it.

I did find it on eBay at a shop called Cosnova. I've gone back and the shop is still there, but there's nothing in it, so I have no idea what happened there. :confused

Hey guys! The saga continues...

I've just started a new thread about an armored variant of this suit that I'm working on. Check that one out here: http://www.therpf.com/f78/captain-america-armor-variant-wip-pic-heavy-229701/#post3499211

Cheers!

Very nice Terry.

I'm a complete newbie to cosplay, so much that I don't know how to sew on a button but there's something about the STEALTH suit that really makes me want
to try and make it. SMP could you tell me if the material in the link is something like what you used, I might pick up some to try out, thanks.

Yep, that's it. I've bought fabric from them before, it's nice and they're very quick to get it out. I'm not sure what their international delivery is like, but I always get my shipments very quickly.

I also use jumbo (or super) spandex. It's the 10oz spandex: http://spandexworld.com/c3/catalog/browse/35
