New Blade Runner Blaster article

Great read Rich! I'm still working on my Propsummit build so these pics are very helpful!

Wonderful article. After seeing a few of the beautiful Blade Runner blasters at the SoCal prop party I am beginning to get the itch to get one for myself. It's fun to see how much detail and research has been done on this particular prop, I haven't seen anything like it since the "Star Wars" lightsaber modified flash guns!

When you find yourself intensely interested in every little ding, dent, scratch and speck of rust, it's insanity. So . . . ;) color me insane.

Mr. Coyle, thanks so much for sharing this story! The attention to detail here borders on the obsessed, but the results are well worth it! :cool:thumbsup

Maybe some day I'll finally have enough money that I can afford to buy one of these from you. :confused

Amazing work on this. Just amazing. I'd consult a thesaurus to find a better word but I'm too busy picking my jaw up off of the floor.

It's astounding the attention to perfection this prop gets. And your dedication keeps it going. Not many people would admit their mistakes and redo it as many times as needed.

And share photos for free so others can copy it.

Interesting take on it...

I do not conside it a misstake to do the best one can with the then known facts and photographts.

I got newer photos with NEW information and THAT caused the upgrade(s).

And how can I show what I have done to make my model as accurate as possable without showing the photos of the real thing to compair??

Someone can just buy my model and make copies as well, as one did a few years ago, but most on this site will condemm a recaster.

Most (not all) will not buy from a recaster.

And I am now on record with my version with all the fine details so copying it will kind of stand out.

And lastly for the DIY modeler, I don't mind shareing the infomation.

So injoy.

Rich
