I know what you mean about sealing the holes up in a build. I was doing an E11 blaster rifle and was unsure about closing the holes up as there really is no going back if there is a malfunction with the lights or sound. I thought about punching small rubber plugs and pressing them into the holes above the screws so i could still pry them out if need be. I eventually left them as they were. The pulse rifle and case you have done is outstanding, a proper job. I made a Pepakura card version and have plans on a nerf conversion and a nerf Romulus version. I will see how I go. Anyway keep up the excellent work.

To me, you can dress it up all you want, but it you don’t fill the holes it will always look like a toy. But again, that’s just me.

Or you can have it realistic and non functional with no way to repair it. That's just me.
