Need tips for displaying a Blade Runner Deckard Blaster

I got an Offworld BR Blaster today, and have been racking my brains as to how to display it. For now, I can't put it in my cabinet due to lack of space.

I wish to display it 'upright', and need some tips regarding the best way to go around getting something (subtle) to keep it upright.

I know some owners have just cut some perpex they had lying around, but unfortunately, this is not a common commodity my end.

Has anyone ever bought something on-line for this purpose ? If yes, would you be so kind as please provide a link ?

Also, photos of how you display yours are welcome :)

You should ask over at propsummit.com. There have been some acrylic stands available there over the years. I have one... somewhere!

You could try having a look around for picture displays or plate displays. There might not be something 100% ready to use off the shelf, but you shouldbe able to find something that, with a little work, would make a nice display.

I personally wanted to make a styrene buildup of the Ennis House tiles, and then mount clear acrylic to hold my C&S upright, and then embed a plaque in the front. Never did get around to it, but the idea's out there for anyone who wants to give it a shot. :)

What about mounting it on the wall in a shadow-box like the way some of your other props are displayed? (Cryptex, Faberge Egg, etc.) I think that would look pretty cool. For now, I'm just using a cheap acrylic "plate-holder" type stand for my Coyle blaster.

Wow Adam - that's quite a BR display there !!!! :thumbsup :thumbsup

Hmm .. I might go for an acrylic stand inside a shadow box :)

Thanks for the tip.

Like Andy said, I used a shadowbox for mine. Here it is with a few other BR props.

I used a leathery looking brown paper for the backdrop and drilled holes for 2 clear acrylic rods to support the blaster.

I was planning to do the same thing with my Mauser, but ran out of room to display it...so it just lays around

As much as I love the casual Blade Runner still life with the gun just lying around next to some of the other props, it seems to make people feel a little uneasy with a gun lying on a shelf. Putting it under glass makes it much less threatening to a non-fan. It also seems to add importance and value to those that don't know about prop replicas.
