Need Photoshop Help For Marauder’s Map Project

I desperately hope someone can help me with this. In one of the Harry Potter films there's a page added to the Marauder's Map that shows the seventh-floor corridor. An RPFer made a version of this previously, but it cuts out some of what is supposed to be on the map. I have an image of what the page was going to look like with an insert of the room of requirement, an image of that page when it was used in the Order of the Phoenix, and a cropped image of the page in what looks like a display.
Could someone who's skilled with Photoshop do what I can't seem to do and both flatten and straighten the image with the insert on it into a printable version of the page?

I'm planning to try and create a version of the folding insert that shows the Room of Requirement myself once I have this page, and another page I'm working on, modified enough to match the version of the full map I already have. I'll also be adding the "kirigami" stairs that were used on the original prop but were left out of the Noble collection version.

I'm planning to create what I consider to be a post-"Deathly Hallows" version of the Marauder's Map. My thoughts are that after everything that happened in the film and book series that Harry Potter, as an auror (in other words a law-enforcement officer in the wizard world), would want the map to show the Room of Requirement, Chamber of Secrets, and the chamber where the Philosopher's (or Sorcerer's) Stone was hidden along with the rooms leading up to it so that he could keep an eye on every area of Hogwarts if necessary. I imagine that, with Hermione's help, he'd add those sections when he realized how important they may be.

When I get far enough along I'll be sure to post the map and inserts to anyone who wants to put it together themselves.

Not sure why I've just done this... but here you go.

:facepalm Free artwork/design services....
I have yet to see someone get a prop builder to sculpt something or mold something for free... but when people need design work done, they always ask for it to be done for free.
Kudos for you for doing it for free... but the more people keep doing design work for free, the more it devalues the work and more people keep thinking it should be free.

Yeah, I know. As a professional designer and illustrator with getting on for 20 years experience I can confirm that everyone wants me to work for free. As a new member of the RPF trying to get involved with the community… well, I know people here are a bit jaded what with paper props turning up on ebay, the dreaded recasters and every thread filled with people begging for “pep” files but I figured I’d start out being helpful and see how it went ;)

I can see your point but there is cost involved with sculpting and moulding. Not that I'm saying what Krats had done has less value to the finished prop it was obviously very easy and quick for them to do and was willing to help. he idea of The RPF is to help and share information and images with others of the same interests. You give out info and help that you have then when you need help the other members of the RPF will be there to help you.

Sharing is great, but for those who have shared and shared and shared, and watched the views and value of their work plummet... the desire to share goes away :lol

Like I said... kudos to him for helping. And as for the statement "very easy"... that is the problem with the typical view of an artist's work and value. Sure, there is a talent and it makes it easier for them to do, but they should get paid for that talent. Just because there is no overhead as in a sculptor's world, the overhead is time. Most designers charge $40-$60 an hour. So if you ask an artist to invest 1 to 2 hours, they are absolutely losing money. Just my two cents as an artist. But it was very kind and cool of him to offer his services :thumbsup

Well what you did is extremely appreciated and beyond what I was hoping for. I’m on a strict budget so there’s no way I can afford Photoshop right now and GIMP, the opensource alternative for Photoshop, just can’t seem to reshape that image the way I needed it. I was just hoping for someone to help a little by just straightening out the part of the map that’s visible. Again, since my 34th birthday is this Tuesday, getting this image back like this was like opening an early birthday gift, and I appreciate as much as any other present I’m likely to get. Thank you again.
I know that the people who try to pass RPFer’s designs as their own and sell them on eBay has caused a huge amount of conflict on here and I promise that you’ll never see me trying to sell any of this, I just want to make this for my own display. If I ever did anything as dirtbagish (yes, I know it’s not a real word) as that you have my permission to fly over, come to my house in Texas, and kick me right in the “twig-&-berries” as hard as you can in steel toe boots, then post the video of it on YouTube for everyone to see with the title “Mother-Lover Gets What He Deserves”. If you’re ok with it when I’m done with the final design I’ll provide the entire map in the “Free Harry Potter Paper Props” section and credit you for the help you’ve provided as a way to give back to the community, otherwise I’ll omit it from the finished product if you prefer.
What I’ve seen of this TheRPF community is a large group of people all willing to work together to design and create amazing items, some for profit and some for the enjoyment of it, and I’m glad to be a part of it. I know that I don’t have much skill or experience, especially compared to many of the pros here, but I plan to give back to the community and help other members here when I can.
