Hey everybody, The name pretty much says it all. I'm a model making student from glasgow and for my final project I'm re-creating a set of ray guns from a My Chemical Romance music video. My proposal to my lecturer was to have one of the guns displayed in a vending machine hatch (which is how they are bought in the video). I have a lot of refference for the guns, But very few references for the Vending machine. I know that it wasn't a scratch build for the video, I'm pretty sure they took an old vending machine and painted it.

Now I have found similar vending machine images online that have some of the same features But i'm strugling to find information on them. mostly they're just images on flicker or other sights and I can't fins any manufactorer info.
I can't post images on here just yet but I will update this as soon as I can. Untill then:

Here is a link to the video:

Here is a link to the Ray guns (For anybody who cares):

(I may just make the front of it)

Unfortunatley I can't find the images I had before of machines that looked closer to the video one and I am not on my own computer at the moment. But I need help finding out the Make/model of the music video machine, with any extra refferences, images, measurements. Basically anything I'm really struggling here.

I'll get proper images when I can.

Thanks
J oxox.

those vending machines, being the size and shape they are, can be very simple to fabricate as a prop. If you have access to resin coated foam core your already halfway there. If not sheet styrene or sheet ABS plastic will also work. A basic 2x4 wood frame and the outer shell made out of the foam core/plastic then your left with graphics.

The guns look like they may have been based on the original Nintendo light gun. Not saying thats what they were, just based on.
