Hi guys, my name's Ham, new to the forum.

I'm getting a Kroenon Mask kit from the US and well excited about making it. Just need srtraps for the back. I also have got a WW2 German Visor hat which is a size bigger than I need to accomodate for the mask to fit under. But how can I get the Hat to stay on and maybe attatch it to my head or mask :confused

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Thank you.

Ham

Btw Mods if this is in the wrong section then appologies and please can you move it to the correct one.

The issue with the hat is simple. You can take a bit of foam and place it on the inside of the hat. Not sure which company made hat you have, but if its like most replica WWII SS officer caps, it should have a lip on the inside. Simply pull down the lip, insert the foam as needed in small bands until you get a snug fit. I use a little bit of foam in the rear of the cap.

I know they also have Hat sizers which is an inset into the hat that fills the gap between your head and hat...but foam is easier.

Hey Blood Wolf, sorry don't know your name. Thanks for the advice and will try it when the kit arrives. It's made of Silpak plastic so I need to know do I prime this and also what kind of spray paints should I use for the high gloss black.

Sorry for all the questions but new to this and need to find out. Do you know where to get the straps from too?

Thanks again for your help dude, much appreciated. :)

Someone suggested to get animal collars, cheap and easy solution ;)

Well I am assuming its going to be a Jarvis B Mask? I almost always prime most pieces I am to paint as it gives usualy a better result to the paint job. As for what paints to use, I'm only aware of the paints we have in the US so hard to say. Grab a few and see which ones give you the best results.

Also you have 2 options on the paint job. You can go with a matt black and finish it with a glossy clear coat...or just go with a glossy black and a clear coat is optional. I usualy put on a clear coat to prevent scracthing directly to the paint job.

As for strapps...you can either look on the boards (I believe there was a post with someone selling them) or just make them yourself. Not too hard really as you just have to get some buckles, a small piece of leather and cut into strips and then dye it black. buckles normaly run $1 to 3$ depending upon type..leather...5$ for a piece for all the straps needed.

Thank you for your advice chaps, been a great help! I'm getting my kit from theelectronicsgenius on ebay if that helps. I'll search the forums for the straps and if not will give it a go myself.

The paint job I'll go for a gloos black paint and then clear gloss coat it for extra protection.

Thanks again. Have also asked that guy who made a chest piece for the Kroenen a while back if he could make me one so will see what happens. :)
