Hello everyone. I'm going to start making a Replica of "Gum" from the movie Sausage Party. I need help finding the wheels.

It looks like they're old wooden checkers, but I can't even find photos of said checkers. I'd love if someone could help look. I'll keep updated on my prop.

That is based upon checkers, but since this is animated, the artist could have just used an idea and created something that was never actually in existence. You can find something similar with crowns, but not exact. You might want to get someone to create a 3-D model and get it printed.

What scale are you making this? I think you're right that these are checkers. However, since this is an animated they may have taken some creative license. You can find vintage checker pieces online but they may be a bit different.

I will suggest this will be a fully custom build. You'd find due to licensing that whilst a part used in an animated film looks like a real world part, but has been slightly altered.

An example of this would be like Mr Potato Head used in Toy Story. Buy a real Mr Potato Head and the first thing you find is the eyes are one piece on the toy. They are two separate parts in the film.

They're definitely cheap plastic checkers, like the ones found here https://www.sciplus.com/p/plastic-checkers_58235?ppc=shopping1&gclid=CLnzioLhudICFQS2wAodEW0LDQ

The only problem is the crown design. The crown was simplified on the animation, most likely because it's just that: an animation. I can't find a checker with a three pointed crown, just the run of the mill crown jewels. I think the best option, with the edge grooving and the crown design is to find someone with a CNC or a laser cutter to make custom pieces. Maybe the same with the domino arms. I hope this helps!
