NECA Releasing Prop Portal Gun

Yeah it does look really good. It would even display well if you decide to keep the portal gun in the box.
 
I'm surprised with the packaging,
considering VALVe has a really polished and recognized style for 'Aperture Science' that would have been very popular with the fans.

That said, what they have done is very nice. I'm glad they're still delivering.
 
Do you guys know of any "newsletter" or service I can subscribe to that will notify us when the gun goes back up for preorder?

Like their Facebook page or follow on Twitter. You would be first to know once they post on their pages. Most likely you can find good info through people comments too.

It's listed on their site as "out of stock". Not sure if they were part of the initial "load blowing" when preorders first went out, or if it's listed that way because they're preparing a preorder.

Either way, I wonder if NECA is cool with them jumping the gun a bit...

Geez, why the slow trickle? Had a preorder at Entertainment Earth, who've sold plenty of Neca stuff. Do I panic and try one of these places?
 
Ok, this happened kind of out of nowhere...

So I preordered from TOYNK, (would have rather preordered from ThinkGeek, but it looks like they're done already??)....

$40 SHIPPING?! WTF?! It's the same on all the pre-order sites...

$180 this thing comes out to... ???
 
Can anyone confirm if they preordered theirs from thinkgeek? I had been watching the site and never saw a preorder option for the item. Wondering if I had missed it.

According to their twitter, they're going to do a "first come first served" sale of the item. Not sure if that means today, or when they're available, but it sounds like they're not doing pre-orders at all.

Safer to pre-order from one of the other sites listed, or wait for the additional retailers to be listed in the next couple of days.

What a weird way of going about it NECA...
 
Preorders started today. Limited to one per customer. Rockin robot is sold out. There are only two vendors left that still have them for pre order Toynk and corner store comics. If you order thru toynk the shipping was $40 for the default standard 7-10 days, were it is only $39 for 3day UPS so select that save a few cents and get it a lot sooner or buy from Corner store were it was about about half that.

Thinkgeek isn't going to sell them until later, probably when they're ready to ship it. NECA is still going to release more to a few other vendors so they haven't allotted their full 5000 yet.

But yes, they are going to move quickly.
