OK...I resigned my job to take on a new one lol The great thing is I will be home every day. So this project will now be steaming along nicely. I'll be putting up an interest thread in the junkyard very soon.
Guys...I will have an update in the next day or two just waiting on my local postman. If all goes to plan I will be putting the interest list up in the junkyard. NO cash up front. I'll be doing the first 20. Straight up. Covering the costs my end.
I am still planning to make these from pewter and the cost will be at around $25-$30 shipped for each .
I have as yet to find a suitable set of boxes that match the onscreen ones. I have recieved a few and I am just not happy with them lol So if anyone can help there they'll get a complimentary cast
Sooooo.....it will just be the coins at this date. Looking forward to playing with the hot metal.
ok made a REALLY REALLY dirty cast with sculpty in resin. I quickly threw a black wash over it....It obviously didn't pick up all the fine detail in the master but you get the idea. It's going to look AWESOME when I mould it properly.....lol
As soon as I get some spare cash I will place the order on the silicone and pewter and off we go.
LOL Thanks folks. Not starting the signup list till I pay for the materials.....glad you like it though. The pewter version is going to look amazing. I am really surprised how even this shoddy sculpty version looks...apart from the colour that is lol
Seems quite a few folks can't wait for me to buy materials from the emails I've been getting lol Thanks for the trust...so I am going to start an interest list. So......see the junkyard
No...just worrying... as I haven't even finished the first one lol That is the long term plan though. I have all the other coin references too....
So it might be a go....let's see how this on turns out first lol
Do you think that is a wooden backing in the frame with the buttons displayed on leather thongs or some type of cloth with thwo recesses? I could never tell lol
I always thought it was 3 planks of wrapped wood mounted with just a small gap between them. Im planning on taking a couple printouts into my framer to see if I could match something up for the frame.
As for the material wrap....do you think it is a velvet finish or more a canvasy finish. Its kinda hard to tell. :confused
Mmm...The frame itself will be a really easy match. I think they looked a bit like canvas or some type of cloth. We need High Def screencaps....Anyone?
