This is how I see the parts under the nose.... I'm still not sure what the ribbed white strip is between the Centurion parts though.....

I'm 99% sure the tube/wire piece is from the 8Rad, it fits.
Simon thinks that part of the upper left piece is a single SRB separation rocket from the Airfix Shuttle, it certainly is the right size.
Center left, I think the lower part of that is the M16 piece showing from below with the top cut off.
The piece between the SAM2 and Eagle II looks like half an tank hatch to me. But I can't tell.

I CAN'T BELIEVE those two side pieces are right there on the Centurion all along, I was looking right at them! Just found the little M16 piece.

It appears the missing piece you're after change during construction. The pic before paint looks like an 8Rad piece with a white shuttle bit. But once painted it's not the same. My current guess is the ladder from a Leopold trimmed. It's the right size but the Leopold doesn't seem to have been used anywhere else.

Knight to bishop six....... What's on your mind..... Sebastian? Lee the Leo is used on the interior. Just one piece but its definitely a donor. Keith thanks again. The T-34? New to me but I hope so as I can't see clearly in any pix. Vosper for #2 , well spotted. #17 i had a different part crom the same kit but yours looks better. I'm not convinced the Matilda wheels are correct though. Very similar. Also # 14 but I could be wrong. Nice one. Looks like we at a stand still here for now.

Based on Keiths new information this is where I (and Simon) currently are:

Only a few smaller pieces are left unknown at this point. Any ideas? Most are probably from kits we already have, just need to go over them again, and again, and... :)

The part sitting under the Paystar 5000 looks like a part from the Airfix 1/600 bismarck (shape wise).... Wish it wasn't so blurry!

Here's what could be some of those pieces

I think the lower part of the left piece is just the M16 part.
Upper left, there's something else there, but Simon spotted that there appears to be a Shuttle rocket on top. The size is right
Upper right, Centurion piece.
Mid right, 8Rad, trimmed. Not 100% but it's close. There's also two used, another just above the one highlighted on the other side of the SRN1 piece.

Here's what I think the missing piece is, Leopold ladder. It's not 100% but the size/look is right.

Could also be the ladder from the 1/72 Airfix B-29 Superfortress. Size looks about the same. Part #205.

Yeh I just checked the B-29 ladder and it's just about identical, just a little 'fatter' It would work too.

Here's a section I've been looking at too much today! Anyone have any clues on the missing pieces?

I cut the Box/plate with the "X" on it from the top side of the 1/35 centurion. Fits size wise. Also the small flat bit with the five raised nipples is on the Chevrolet 15 Cwt truck and six pounder.(airfix)

Lee,

I'm glad you mentioned the Space Shuttle. I was digging through my boxes to get the shuttle out and had to move my Tamiya 88mm Flak Gun. Just for the fun of it I opened the Flak up - I can never resist a look through that kit - and what should be staring me in the face?.... the part I was looking for in the top left of my picture (attached to the Matilda running gear)!
That was a nice surprise.

The other parts I'm still not sure about. The problem with the Centurion bit you mention is the slope on one side.... the piece in the Narcissus recess seems to be a simple rectangular box. At first I'd thought it was one of the boxes from the Matilda (#C11) but I don't think that's right unfortunately.
The rail from the 8 Rad is an interesting idea, but it doesn't feel right to me either, mainly because of the amount of trimming and cleanup required to make it fit.
The part(s) where the two truck pipes join are almost high enough to poke out of the bay, so it can't just be the M16 piece with a hole drilled in, that sits too low... there's definitely something else there, but I'm still not sure what.

We'll find them eventually though :)

Well look at that! You know I brought a 88mm Flak kit 6 months ago just to have it on hand incase it was used. I figured it had to be somewhere :)
Always fun when you open a box for the 20th time (or 100th) and a piece jump out at you!

Ahh dayum! That means atleast 9 8Rads and 5 Centurions were used :-D
Phil or Martin sure liked to use the same pieces over and over!

A couple more bits :)

THANK GOD for clearer pix. I'm glad I hadn't cast up the Scammel Piece. Thanks Keith. 88 Flak. Ya know I have had that sitting in my Narc Pile for absolutely no reason other than I thought maybe it could have been used. Nothing else just the 88. All others verified donors.

TIme to look again at the cockpit area. There's only a few small pieces not figured out. Can anyone spot these?
They are all very small parts with only minor clues as to what they are.
