Narcissus Builders Club N Stuff.

this pretty much sums up my feelings every time i check this thread :lol

Paul - you are way too modest, this build is looking fantastic! Great idea on the clamps, I should have thought of that. What are the dims for those extra pieces? I'll work them into the file for print.

Simon, I've got a vague idea! Looking good man. BTW we're done with the tweaks on the plexi parts - sorry if I wasn't clear on my last post, that's what I meant, all systems go. I'll have the new lower engines and clamps finished up this week too, then I'll do the nozzle support pieces.

Sweet. I'm taking the files in tomorrow so we may have our acrylic for the weekend. Hopefully the styrene too. Then I can work out the shipping cost to everyone.

More progress!.

I have now finished detailing the front top of the ship.
This only leaves the rear quarter panels to do now, but unfortunately I am waiting for on plastruct order to show up before that can happen...

In the meantime, enjoy the pictures :)

I know the year is not over yet, but just the same this thread should easily win the "STFU and Build Something Already" award.

Man this is effing cool...

He,he....not bad for "so I got me a bunch of Acrylic" to this in under 5 months.... Eh?

This is a Prime example of what a TEAM of determined ****ers can do when the workload is shared. From me wanting one, to a full 32 inch kit release..... I must say even I'm impressed with this PIG. If there were such an Award I can guarantee Martyn and I would normally be the last ****ers to receive it and without Pauls mad skills we would still be arguing over mm's of styrene. I don't think Paul would have even known an accurate Narcissus model if he was pissing on one before this, but now he knows her intimately..... Now he has turned to The Dark Side... Stay tuned for More Models in the near future.

Simon.

SIMON IS SO CORRECT. :lol Definitely never expected things to move this fast and 99% of that is credit to Paul. I've been crazy about this ship since forever, I've had all this research and resources, I even started an SS build in about 1999 - but I'd just sat on everything since then, thinking 'there's better ref around the corner' or whatever.

PC - Simon, you're doing it wrong! :p

You might want to try using a computer that was made in the last decade.

:p

I got plenty of them mate. Trouble is there are no drivers/software for this model made for anything after xp. The driver that came with the camm scribe is on a floppy and says for window 3.1 - 95 so I had to use a Dino for the job. Managed to get some xp drivers but now I need some software. My Dr Engrave won't install.... Dammit!!! And I don't want to spend a heap on software.
