Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

Yeh I'm fairly sure the 4 Centurion parts are subs. Wish there was a higher res scan of the under construction pics. But as you note, just seeing the colour of the piece helps, unless it's Airfix!! :)

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

Thanks JD1, couldn't find the panel on the panzerkampf but found it on the Lang. Along with a few donors for the interior. Whoo hoo!

Pretty sure that small hatch is from the 223. It's sand-coloured in the pre-paint workbench pic. The 'rectangle with bottom corners missing', left of the four Centurion 'hinges', is also 223, B7.

The tiny round part in the corner to the left of the lone Scammel ramp is 232, but may not be on the original, as it's also sand-coloured.

The panel Martin's used under the '351970' marking is from the Panzer Kampfwagen IV, but again may not be studio-correct. It just looks a slightly different shape and length on the original.

But alas the Lang part isn't on the original...

Wow... Thankyou very much Fred. The second SU pic is of the forced perspective model. I love the way they found parts to match the shape and layout of the "hero" model. I wish we had pix this clear of this part of the "hero" ship. Would make life so much easier.

You're welcome !

I thought the forced perspective pic rather match what can be spotted on the regular Narc model in certain areas, that's why I have posted it here...

Yep that's the one I have, very useful on many many levels, and then a few spots that are just too dark or small to see what they are :) I guess if it was easy, this wouldn't be so much 'fun'.

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

Speaking of that photo, can anyone point me to the desert yellow coloured pieces behind the Tyrrell bits, at the back of the 'pods'? The same piece is used at the very front (but trimmed). Looks like it would be from the 223, but I can't spot it for some reason.

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

If we had better res pix of the underside I'd start the partmap there too. I'll see what I can do but it's gonna be a bit blurry.

Re: NARCISSUS Part id help

OOOOOOOH I see now, it's so covered in other parts I was looking for a totally different shape :)
