Hi everydody.

Well, what´s about the "mystery" helmets? specially the stormtrooper ones.
I´ve been offered to buy one of these, but I want to know before, how accurates they are?

Haven't heard of any Stormtrooper Mystery helmets. Sounds kinda fishy to me. Usually, when a piece doesn't have a history is because the owner or seller doesn't want to let people know how or where he got it - usually by recasting someone else's helmet.

Just my 2 cents.

the pics I´ve, are a little suspicious, because I think i´ve seen them in a ebay bid. Maybe the seller has give me pics from some ebayer?
Its made in fiberglass (thats why I think, it can be a recast or a fan sculpt)
It cames in kit form.
but I´m not an stromtrooper expert, so SHOW ME THE TRUTH.. :p :p
i´m sorry but I,ve no other pics.

Iirc, the RT-Mod & VSF have the dome and cap as separate pieces, though unsure whether these are made of fiberglass. Pretty much everyone else has those as a single piece.

We can pretty much rule out the FX helmets, imo, as this looks more accurate.

Thats quite bizzare usually fibreglass lids are 1 piece or 3 piece(main helmet and 2 ears) the reason being that when you put kits together theres usually some amount of movement when you screw the back to the face theres often a slight squeezing to the sides and fibreglass wont flex like plastic will.
Neither the RT or VSF are fibreglass so it's not either of those 2
And that photo is definitely off ebay even has the camera watermark symbol.
If it were me i would stay safe and buy a kit that is known

Those pics do not look like fiberglass.

And I agre, you do not do a fiberglass helmet in pieces as that one is in. You would be forced to screw parts together where a songle helmet can be made just as easily (If not easier)

True - unless the recaster was to lazy to actually build the kit they had and cast the pieces indiviually.

But yeah, maybe the seller got it wrong and it's not FG after all? The pic looks like ABS or styrene...

Looks to be styrene (from the dull sheen), and may very well be a fan sculpt. The flat part of the eyes look rough which are exactly how I left my ANH Stormtrooper Helmet WIP.

I would say this is a cast of a F/X kit that has not been put together.

that face plate looks to good to be an FX. It's an RT mod or a recast of one.

Those pics sure don't look like fiberglass.

That's what I was thinking....too thin.

The FX faceplate has the piece below the mouth (Black part) as a seperate piece and not molded into the helmet IIRC.

RT-mod recast, Styrene.

Thats my guess as well GZ.

Id say stay away from it.

Could be more probs if the guy is being shady from the get go...

I know one thing for SURE , thats NOT FG. :unsure

That thing looks weak on so many levels. Look at the pea-green, almost clear lense material. The too-thick neckseal and the brow trim that looks like it has an adhesive backing on it.

OK, thanks a lot to everybody for show me the thruth :p :p
The seller told me its fiberglass, so I suposse than the pic he has sended to me its from an rt helmet form another ebay seller.
Now, how acurattes are the original rt mod?? are they a good deal?
