I reckon just a plain aluminium rivet backing washer on the outside, with some kind of hardware inserted from the inside. An un-popped rivet works.

What do you reckon the diameter to be of the whatever it is?

I know quite a few of us aren’t the biggest fans of 3D-printed stuff (myself included), but I’m taking that as a challenge to build, print, finish, mould, and cast the tank so it’s just as smooth as purchasing/assembling the individual pieces. I’ll post update photos here as I go.

Here’s the “button” + housing attached to the main tank. This is before any surface smoothing or anything. I’m debating whether I should include all the screw holes, lever holes, etc to make it more “authentic.” What do all of you think?

As I have some parts, including some from you, I'd be interested in just what I don't have, like the green connector and strap connectors if you consider selling parts.

If anyone wants one but doesn't have the time or inclination to collect parts and build, I will be offering a limited run of 10 soon. I'll be using all the identified original parts bar one (which will be a cast thereof). Actually started putting these togther nearly two years ago but it stalled!
