My TARDIS Replica **PIC INTENSE**

Ok, Here we go. This build is by no means accurate, and I didn't want it to be. From the beginning when I was thinking of its design I decided that I wanted this to be an amalgam of the bits that I liked the best from all the years. I wanted the camphered base, the thicker sign boxes, larger stack roof, and a real fresnel lense. The last part that I was stuck on was the signs. Well when the new show came along the decision was made and I adopted them into my build. It is a fiberglass shell with a wood support structure. The signs are backlit with flourescent strip lights The build is essentially complete, aside from some cosmetic painting, lighting up the fresnel, and adding the door sign handle its done.
So here we go, enjoy the pictures, please post with any questions on construction or if you want to see something in particular close up or if I missed something you think might be good to see.

I have been trying to get my wife to let me build one in our yard for a few years now, and she just won't let me do it.

It was already in progress before she met me , she had no choice, mwhahahaha..of course I now have the battle of getting her to let me keep it in the house rather then outside.

That's already a requirement for me, and I'm still at least 4 years out from buying a house. Someday I'll be able to follow in the footsteps of these great fans and build my own TARDIS as well. In the meantime, I can just look at all the pictures of the few that are actually completed.

Do you have any in progress pic's of the technique you used to do the fiberglassing of the shell? Did you create a wood master, mold that and then make the parts?

Thanks guys, I absolutely love this thing, its crazy looking out the windows and going HEY ITS THE TARDIS, and then running outside all giddy and laughing and opening the door and going CRAP its a prop, then walking inside dejected staring at the ground, walking into the living room and looking out the window and going "HEY ITS THE TARDIS" then running outside......Its been a monotonous couple of days!!!:lol
