My scratch built SGA Headset.

I wanted a SGA headset for my costume and on one of the other boards (scifihero)there was a guy who made and sold non-canon headsets.
They look good but I wanted something more screen accurate and a little cheaper.
But I also wanted something that wouldn't fall off or needs double faced tape to stay on when you move a lot (like the actual prop).

Here's a screencap of the actual prop:

Here's my version:

Hand cut from sheet styrene. shaped with small files and a lot of sandpaper.
The microphone boom is made from stainless steel wire.
And the microphone is made from heat-shrink tubing.

What do you think??

It looks pretty good! I haven't been able to see as much of SGA as I'd like to, due to my work schedule, but as I remember seeing them, it looks pretty spot-on. (For some reason, I always thought the mic boom on the prop seemed a bit shorter than it should be, and yours reminded me of that- so I guess that's a good thing)

Angle looks good too, you did a great job! I am particularly impressed with the even beveling on the sides of the earpiece.

Actuaaly it only LOOKS even, but you'll only notice when you look really closely at the headset.
It's so light that you completely forget you're wearing it, I had several people ask me where I got the Bluetooth headset when i went to the Supermarket down the street.
