My Rendition of Gambit's Armor/Costume

Wow, that's really impressive then! Great work and I also love the work you did with the head piece!
Thanks Finnlock! :) Just use your fingers to sculpt your 4mm EVA foam. It will be somewhat difficult because you need to adopt to the heat while sculpting it. God bless to your builds and give an update to your similar builds. :)

Started painting on October 24 and finished it today, October 26, 2013.
It is my first time in painting costumes, and I am happy with the results. Tried to add weathering and some battle damages on the boots and shin guard.
Final thing to do now is to finish the gloves and make the strapping mechanism for the armors.

All the hours of build time was worth it, I really enjoyed making this costume and I discovered another talent that our Great God has given me.
I hope you like it! God bless you all! Ü

Will be doing a tutorial soon on that. :)

This is awesome! You have inspired me to try making my own Gambit costume now (albeit a cheaper and easier version). I will probably just buy a really cheap Roman soldier Halloween costume chest-plate and paint it the right colour though, your foam method is too awesome for me to even attempt!

Thanks man! :)
I'm sure you can do it too, just be patient in practicing. :)

That chest is awesome and im definitely gonna try your method to make my robin costume for next halloween but quick question, you think that same method could be used to make arm pieces? Anyways thanks for providing the info dude and great work!

Thanks OneGoodScare! I think you can form an arm piece using my method. I haven't tried it yet. Update me if you try it. :)

Dude that looks really cool!
Hah all fanboy, by the way i wanted to ask, whatd you use for the foam? Im guessing mats but i cant be sure since all i can find locally is small sheets

I thought it looked good before you finished.
I am so surprised how great this looks! It doesn't even look like foam!

--I just used a 4mm EVA foam for the armor build. For the mask/headgear, I used a 2mm EVA foam.

Thanks for the kind words guys! I had fun a while ago, I was the host and magician at the event. I was glad how it looked, even though it was my first time in making a costume. I commend all the members of The RPF. I read a lot of threads here and I learned a lot! :)

Will be doing a tutorial on the subtle things bout this costume build soon. God bless you all. :)
