My Pirates of the Caribbean Disney theme park ride... collection!

Since the 1970s, my favorite theme park attraction has been "The Pirates of the Caribbean". Growing up on the East Coast, "my" version was the Florida Walt Disney World attraction. But once I experienced the superior Anaheim, California Disneyland version... well, I was torn.

My original mementos were a 1970s era pirate hat and eyepatch (both of which I still own). But of course, you grow up... and want more. So I have pieced together a set of memorabilia in honor of the ride and its history.

This guy was just recently released, I came across it totally by accident. It stands ~ 10 inches high. I was able to get a super discount on e-Bay for one with minor damage to the boat oar.

I personally would love a full scale Jolly Roger replica from the California/ Disneyland ride.

Here's the original DL version from the late 1960s...

And the (current) updated version...

The original Walt Disney World/Florida version(s) had the bandana without the hat (and one version even had an eyeball!). These are going WAAAYYYY back in time.

Here's the current WDW/Florida version, which was missing since the Johnny Depp ride takeover in 2006, but was updated/re-installed in 2017. The "take your picture on the ride" gimmick is hidden in the eyes. The skull looks goofy here, but is better in person. James Arnold Taylor does the voice in the Florida version.
