Thanks guys, ROTJ Emperor Palpatine Robes are nearing completion. I hope to display them within a short time. I saw the proto this evening and was absolutely floored! Sometimes I think my partner in these costume projects is simply stealing the LFL costumes and using them for reference. More to come on this soon.
Thats one I have been wanting to see finished for a long time, so get to it Dave.
And when are you getting the GF armor on the body, that poor guy has been naked long enough.
Good question. I'm about 2 hours worth of work finishing the trooper armor. Hopefully very very soon. My Imperial side looks too sparse at the moment. I need to get that side up to speed.

Could you please (pretty please) tell me what mannequin you used or how you set that armor up?
Funnily enough, my brother recently gave me a stormtrooper blaster for my engagement present =)
and in front of the entire family I told my fiance - "oh, well now that I have the blaster, I'll have to get a lifesized stormtrooper to display it! haha"
Either way - awesome setup. Thanks for sharing.
One quick note I did notice that your pics are quite yellow. Probably because of the lightbulbs used in your office. I took the liberty of color correcting a few of them just to give people a quick preview of what your office would look like if they were actually there. (human eyes color correct automatically) They're not perfect (some are slightly too blue)...but I just wanted to give you a look. You could use photoshop or download a free program called "color correction wizard" and play around with the settings.
Please let me know if you don't want these pictures up - I'll take them down right away.
Your pics are absolutely fine, no worries. I usually do color correct with my own photoshop program, but was just in a hurry.
The mannequin was one of the foam /wire mannequins like offered on the RPF not long ago. They are usually black flocked mannequins. The arms are nice and poseable as well as the fingers so you can get literally any pose you like.
I just finished trimming the armor last night to be honest and I didn't have to do anything to it to get it to fit like you see in the pic. I'm sure I could tweak it here and there but this is basically without any effort. I literally trimmed a piece and stuck velcro on it, and added it to the mannequin in the order that you'd have to put it on if you were to wear it.
You have to do the body suit, gloves and neck seal first.....then boots abdomen halves next then chest halves. Next the arm parts, then leg parts then belt. Finally the canister for the back of the belt which I haven't done yet as I have to buy gray paint for the cylinder.
Dave
PS the suit is a GF suit of armor. It's been living in a box for 2 years since I bought it. Nice to finally give it a proper home.
Thanks guys. I am working on a 1:1 Old Ben and Emperor mannequin next. Got the word that the Emperor robes will be finished in a couple days now. I should have them shortly. I will probably work on those mannequins next so I can get the costumes displayed.
I'd like to get some of those floor pedistal sign holders for name displays etc........in museums. It is basically a round base with a skinny pole sticking out of the center and on top of the 3-4 foot pole is a name badge. Anyone know of a product that would work well for this??? I plan on mounting the MR name plaques on this item. These will be used for my 1:1 mannequins.
