I dropped by a few hours ago to check out R2 for myself and all I can say is that the little guy looks even better in person, absolutely incredible, just like the rest of the museum.....ur, office.:lol

My business partner(who thinks I'm off my rocker), was blown away by R2!! He thinks it is the coolest thing in the collection. He's a closet R2 fan apparently. He does sneak some of his kiddie patients and their parents up to see the room from time to time, though he'd never admit to it.

His kid keeps asking me if R2 is finished. Hopefully his mom will bring him with her to work today and he'll get to see R2 in person. I love to see a kid light up looking at the cool SW stuff. He's been weaned on the prequel movies........he will be blown away by the OT when he finally sees them. Then my room will make far more sense.

Really, a most amazing display! As a novice collector, I love seeing threads like this that show different ways folks utilize their replicas. I love the Jawa, and the R2 is totally amazing.

As a question, What are you using/where did you find the wallmounts for you Y-Wing / Corvette? I love the clean wall mounting, and the angles you have them mounted at are very interesting.

Just saw these pics. What a phenomenal display. The pedestals look quite elegant. Clearly a lot of thought went into how you display this, as it does not appear to overwhelm you with just everything Star Wars. And to echo everybody else, that R2 is astounding. Congrats, and thanks for sharing.

Here is a small update.........still a ways to go but getting there bit by bit. I have a couple mistakes to correct and some more paneling and bluish gray stripes on the cannons and wings........but it's coming along. The last photo I color corrected because I just realised that the walls of the room were not really orange.........LOL.
