My Michael Jackson Thriller Zombie Bust WIP

Progress pic. I made some subtle changes to the face and now I'm working on the hair. The hair is very tedious. Starting with some extruded strands and blending them in. Looks like speghetti righ now but hopefully it'll turn out good. Also going to distress the jacket.

Looks like I got some stiff competition from Howard. (Great job again:love) His work is fantastic. I knew I wouldn't be the only one with this idea. Can't stop now though, gotta see it thru. Guess I should've started with the MJ warewolf from thriller, but he's probably doing that too...:unsure

Looks pretty good to me. In regards to the detail, I'd almost advise pushing it a little further... do some stuff with it that they couldn't do with the limitations of latex makeup back in the day. Nothing too blatant.. keep the look and all, just go a little further than they did back in '84.

... it was '84, wasn't it? Or was it '83?

Thanks for the advice, after I mold this more screen accurate version I may play around with more extreme detailing like rotting flesh, missing nose, holes in cheek to show teeth, could be fun. It's hard to keep it simple, the make up effects were subtle but effective.

stayed up and played some pool at a friends house to watch this on MTV....brings back memories...remarkably talented work....Are you also going to do a companion piece of Vincent Price ?
