My "Mad Hatter´s Hat" from "Alice in Wonderland"

My first Post here on the Forum.

Want to show you my take on the Mad Hatter´s Hat from Tim Burton´s Alice in Wonderland.
Will add more Photos on the complete costume when I take them during this years carneval.

I had already bought severall different fabrics before I found this one in a small fabric store in the next city here in bavaria.
The fabric itself is completely green. I then painted parts of the embroidered details with golden email color.

I think I will go to the fabric store again and buy some more of the fabric for later just in case I need some. Would love a normal sized hat of it, too.
Maybe I can get the name of the manufacturer there. If so, I will tell you the name.

After sewing the hat´s borders, I now can tell why the Mad Hatter has so bloody and scarred hands ^^

It's a beautiful hat and the edges are super clean, so I'd say it was worth it!

Unfortunately I only got some photos of my costume during the carneval party, but here they are.
Considering to wear it again in the future for making some better photos

I did the complete hat from scratch. It´s base is made of cardboard.
